when they said cute and nice it doesn't necessarily mean they're idiots. i can see what they mean by cute; it's a pretty song, despite the meaning of it. and it's a nice song too, even though the meaning of the lyrics isn't such a nice thing. not everyone reads into lyrics, some people just enjoy music for what it is and not what it's intended meaning was.

Goodnight= goodbye. “I wish you'd stay,” does not mean “Come stay with me baby” it means the character knows his wife’s mind is no longer in the marriage.
