Why is blood bad? It has healing properties like thrombocytes, and leukocytes. I also believe that opening a lesion to access oxygen helps it heal faster. Its like natural benzoyl peroxide. People can avoid looking like a punching bag by learning to clean the pore out by extracting properly.

@isisbenny404 I did not say that blood is bad, but facial extractions, when done improperly can lead to other poblems, like the bacteria that is in the lesion spreading to other areas of the skin through the blood cap system as well as the risk of scarring and pigmentation that can result from inproper extractions being done.

@ninasdermalinstitute I think a simple clogged sebaceous gland should be removed, because actually leaving it there in my experience leaves pock marks. I think the only reason a lesion would spread across the face would be if it was a cyst. Cysts are systemic in nature, so therefore you would be right. Pimples can be squeezed any time as long as you wash your face & hands, and cover your fingers with cotton. Scaring and pigmentation problems usually only arise if you have darker skin.

@inicc abosolutely, you would be damaging your your fibers as you should not 'squeeze ' the skin too much. rather try a 'rolling' action with your fingers flat on the skin, next to the area:)

@inicc You're just squeezing the oil out. Keep it clean and sterile, and you will be fine. The woman who is the CEO for dermalogica has a video on youtube teaching people to do them properly in the comfort of your own home. BTW she is one of the best known estheticians in the business.
