  • grooveeeeh! 10/10

  • that was some beast drumming. what kind of set do you have?

  • i LOVE the fill at 0:44 ending with the rimshot and splash!!!

  • nice and smooth!

  • 14 losers watched

  • what kinda mics do you have!?

  • Thanks that was awesome.

  • That was nice, but you never got a groove goin. That was more of a solo. There was way more fill, or embellished time, than there was groove. You wanna hear some groove, look up Steve Jordan.

  • @timh7403 What an @sshole you are. Where are your vids? Oh. You don't have any?

  • @daveontrak haha, I'm an asshole for having an opinion? Look, the guy has chops, but I disagree with calling it a groove. A groove a repeated, usually simplistic pattern that sinks deep and drives the music. Guys like Steve Jordan and Steve Gadd are groove masters. As for me, if you'd like you can check out any of the Patrick James Band videos. It's a lot more impressive to play something simple I find, because it's a lot more vulnerable.

  • @timh7403 Ok, so you learned some very basic "funk" beats. Good for you. I'm old as dirt, dude and I've been playing for a lot longer than you've been alive. I would never post a negative comment on anyone's vids. Trust me when I say I know "groove masters." This kid's on the way to being one and it just pisses you off that you can't play that well. Spend a little more time practicing and even more time encouraging others. It'll take you a long way in life.

  • @daveontrak this is coming from the guy who called me asshole and said I can't play right? Keep in mind that I never insulted this dude's playing, it was the definition of groove I disagree with bud. God bless.

  • 13 people need to die.

  • Damn your groove is epic, that ride pathern is awesome.

  • WOW

  • I hear some Gregg Bissonette happenin' there. Nice chops, man!

  • great grooves man! I am blown away by the sound you achieved on the recording! What kind of mic did you use?? i noticed a mattress in front of you... just to keep the sounds close and tight??

  • Dude, I've commented on this video before but these are quite literally some of the best grooves I've heard. Also the audio is awesome, probably one of the best quality drumming vids on youtube! How long have you been drumming for? Will be watching your other vids now i think...

  • wow. thank you!! I've been drumming for about 10 years now.

  • that ride has one hell of a bell. what series is it?

  • 21" AA Dry Ride

  • one of the better drumming pieces on youtube

  • hey! COOOL! howd you achieve your snare sound

? is perfec! what heads do you use

  • I use a Powerstroke 3 and have it tuned (both heads) about medium-tight. Also, I recorded the audio seperately with only a single mic and added compression and reverb to the mix.

  • cool setup

  • great technique...good drummer...kit sounds great man. good job

  • what kit do you have?

  • Very good playing but i dont like that cymbal over the left of your ride.

  • great drumming and a really nice set up, what drums u using?

  • what is the series of the big crash at your right? i mean the highter on your right

  • 18" AAX Studio crash

  • love the snare sound ive been trying to get the same kind of sound out of mine but i cant get it.

  • nice groove. I like your tecnic.

  • Ya need more cymbals

  • hah, ok. thanks!

  • tempo is not good

  • who is this guy ^

  • The tempo control is just fine.

  • Great ghost notes, good fills...you got a good drum pulse...but maybe you can move your cymbals a bit closer...or is the video?

  • loving the use of ghost notes

  • ddrum?

  • It's actually a Yamaha Stage Custom

  • Man that was tight! Great feel. Im diggin the snare too, sounds sweet!!

  • loooooool!!very very good!!

  • your the king of excellent grooves and I bow before you.

My goal is to one day drum like this, I don't know if i can acheive it, but I am going to try.

  • Great playing there! I'm loving how the hi hats sound!

  • Man sick!! Those grooves were poppin!!

  • I dug it.

  • is PS3 good on steel piccolo snares?

  • I wouldn't really think so. The PS3 has a muffling ring around it to deaden song ring of the drum. I feel as though with the steel piccolo, you would want that type of ring for the effect. Just my two cents.

  • ic.. well an ambassador would be ok enuff

  • nice vid! how long did it take you to sync the audio and visual?

    From

some random guy in the pearl drummers forum

  • not too long, only about 10 minutes or so

  • wow very nice man great job!!

  • Sweet groves man!

  • nice vid man, with the audio and viseo taken seperately ur snare sounds awesome is that a powerstroke 3?

  • thanks dude, yes it is a powerstroke 3
