At the polls today, there was an idiot walking around the voters, saying loudly "I voted straight democratic ticket" and "just vote straight democratic". He was also trying to show them how to do so while they were voting!

The poll workers were not even challenging him until I finally spoke up. Actually he left on his own when I tried to point him out.

I don't know what bothers me more. The blatant illegality of what he was doing, or that nobody in charge made any real effort to stop him.

Not that it's anyone's business who I voted for (certainly not yours), the fact is that electioneering within a certain distance of any polling place is *illegal*. I would have alerted the officials to him regardless of who he was pushing.
