N95 has a screen size of 320 x 240 pixels, and you need at last 640x480. This is the answer.

Pewnie posiadasz N95-1 (z mniejszą ilością pamięci RAM). W telefonie musi być poinstalowane trochę programów. Niektóre z nich uruchamiają się przy starcie i nawet o tym nie wiesz (nie widać tego). To powoduje, że jest za mało wolnej pamięci RAM i DosBox się wyłącza. Odinstaluj trochę programów które mogą uruchamiać jakieś elementy do autostartu, powinno zadziałać.

Mam pytanie:

ile ramu ustawić, jak ustawie więcej niż 2 to samo się wyłącza (mam N95 8GB), ale Win 3.1 wymaga minimalnie 8 i przez to wiele rzeczy nie działa... Da się to jakoś usprawnić?? Skoro mam o około 64mb więcej od N95-1 to powinienem móc ustawić przynajmniej 64mb na logikę, a jednak nie... Akcelerometr jako myszka (tak jak w quake) był by świetny.

PS: Świetna robota, działa lepiej niż na PSP, ale brakuje ramu żeby można było coś ciekawszego odpalić...

Masz N95-2 8GB i ten model posiada 128MB RAM, mój ma tylko 55.9 MB. Po pierwsze zaktualizuj soft do v30 lub nowszego. Jeżeli się "samo wyłącza" to znaczy, że masz za mało Ramu a to znaczy, że musisz mieć uruchomione masę różnych aplikacji (w tle) czasami ich nie widać. Windows 3.1 działa już na 1MB RAM, 8MB wystarcza na Windows 95 :)

@Marcinprv soft mam v30. Pokombinuje z tymi aplikacjami, ale mimo wszystko to mi się wydaje nie mozliwe zeby miec za mało wolnego ramu, Quake 3 działa... Myślisz, że powinienem móc ustawić 64mb ram? Jeżeli można aż tyle ustawić to widzę w tym większy potencjał niż samo odpalenie Windowsa. Dune 2 działa, dla innych gier brakuje ramu. Świetnie było by pograć w nie które klasyki na telefonie. Są nowe wersje Dosboxa? I czy Ty go zrobiłeś? Jak potestuje to napisze rezultaty.

DOSBox nie jest mój, ale dzięki wprowadzeniu zmian w pliku konfiguracyjnym (dla pierwszej wersji pod Symbiana) udało mi się zainstalować i uruchomić pierwszego Windowsa.

Nie przydzielaj aż 32MB, proponuje spróbować z max. 16MB przydzielonego RAM'u. W Twoim przypadku lepiej uruchomić Windows 3.11 lub 95/98 (chociaż te ostatnie trochę zamulają i wcześniej trzeba umieścić dodatkowe pliki (programy które Cię interesują) w obrazie img.

Windows 3.1 can run 16-bit exe, Windows 95 and 98 can run 32-bit programs.

But I don't think you'd have problems running the game because E:\ for memory card is actually E:\ CD-ROM so just copy content from CD2 to memory card and installed version of game to C:\ phone memory.(I hope)

Only problem is can you fake graphic card and other specs(can you install graphic card drivers).

I have N70 and i has lot of programs but is 200Mhz and it can't run DOSBOX.

I'm planing to buy one of those QWERTY E series phones so do they have lot of apps as N70?

jak na razie to grałem w Crysis Warhead na very high na PSP. Użyłem programu pspdispv0.2

mysz bezprzewodowa a chodzenie przyciskami z psp, można też było celować padem. Na sybiana też jest coś w tym stylu, nie? VNC chociażby, z tym że to jest zbyt zamulone na gry. A z gier rzeczywiście odpalonych na PSP to odpaliłem Quake 2 multiplayer, Quake, doom,itd... oraz warcraft i tomb rider na dosa w emulatorze dosbox, ale było to arcy uber zamulone.

Lol you cant change the resolution in Windows 95 Nokia Symbian DosBox. Only 640 x 600 and it runs good on a N95 only Windows 95 is sooooo slow. I have Windows 3.1 with Calimira 2. and its cool. Its fast. Not very fast but ok. You can play minesweeper on it. Its funny xd

Try this:

1. Press TWICE green key and try to move the mouse.

(OR) 2. Replace premapper.txt and dosbox.conf files @ E:\Data\ (memory card)

(OR) 3. Install DOSBox with all necessary applications again.

I change resolution in Windows 3.1 between VGA 640x480 and MCGA 320x200 by changing video driver.

Try to install MCGA driver on Windows 95.

IMHO original 640x480 downscale to 320x240 is better than original MCGA 320x200.

You can switch between VGA (640x480) and MCGA (320x200) mode.

Go to e:\Windows and edit 'system.ini' file.

To use VGA:

To use MCGA:

in the dos file you say if you have a t9 keypad create numbered .bat files in your dos root dir to launch stuff, how do i do this.

For example you can use keys 1,2,3 etc + Enter to run DOS commands:

Create file '1.bat' in e:\data\ (flash memory)

Inside file 1.bat put your command ( for example):

c:\nc\nc.exe

By pressing 1 and 'Enter' you can run Norton Commander.
