That's wonderful for him but call me confused, if all they need to get a job is an address, why don't social services just arrange post boxes of some sort? You hear this about addresses so much. Seems a simple solution to me.

Yes - I was in a night shelter a couple of months ago and one of the guys told me Peter is now married, has a job at a racing circuit and a child is on the way - good news indeed!

This is me in the not too distant future I'm sure. Lost my job 6 months ago and the money is running out. I hope to find to courage to kill myself before It gets to that stage however. Go to the Squatters advice centre in the Elephant and castle , squatting is legal in the UK and you have the same rights as a tenent. dont be afraid of the police (they,ll turn up thats a garantee)be polite,taake the coller number and name and tell them you are claiming squatters rights and have a soliciters number on your mobile .eny infingment of your rights leaves them open to prosecution.The police are not the law, but must obey the Law.

I think the hardest part for someone like him would be going to a job interview and looking presentable, and like he says having an address, how would someone even get ahold of him to give him a job. Britains incredibly expensive too. I think a lot of people who live beyond their means, don't realize they may be only a couple of pay checks away from living like this man.
