I would imagine a side shot with a KE round would kill the entire crew though, except for the driver who is seperated, unless the shot was at the rear of the tank and it just killed the engine. They wouldn't recieve the same training but none the less you can have the most sophisticated piece of equipment and if all it does is sit in the motor poole, then its nothing more than a paper weight.

I've always been a patriot, but you gotta face the fact that the M1 has a very powerful onboard computer that can do a way better job than the T90's conscripted, unexperienced young crewman. The T90's Also have to be upgraded all the time in order to compete with other nations' forces, not something that Russia can afford right now

Do you have a link to that article? Someone else has mentioned the testing they did with the Kontact 5 Reactive Armour. In that artilcle though they proposed that it would stop those KE rounds. It never actually says that they shot the T90 with one. If you have read an article where they physically tested it I would like to read it.
They tested not the T-90 tank but the K-5 ERA, reactive armour which is also used on the T-90, the test vehicles were late variant T-72A and T-72B all with K-5 installed..

You ignore the fact that the systems I have mentioned are directly designed to counter the A-10 and helicopter threats and since the systems are integrated into the Russian tank forces to protect them, in the end it will not be an easy task for the A-10.

There is no advantage in beeing able to go underwater. There is also no advantage in having an autoloader.
There is an advantage in having enemy Kontakt 5 to test on.

Problem is that Russia is an empire in decline. It was the USSR, now it is Russia. As such Russia is fighting for respect.
Russian hardware has been at the wrong end of the west for 20 years, Afgan, Kuwait, Iraq, Serbia, Cosovo, Africa, Libya, Lebanon, etc, etc.
T90 has seen no significant combat. The fact that it can fly is irrelevant.
Russia & Europe can cooperate instead of Russia trying to rebuid the USSR.
