Some guys think they have to go ALL OUT when proposing to a woman....why? Unless you really know the person you are asking to marry you, pulling a stunt like this is very risky because not only is she unaware of what is about to happen, but instead of making a conscious decision she is way more concerned about the number of people waiting for her response. I'm no expert but I would be more considerate toward her feelings by going for a more subtle approach...I think women prefer that instead.

Gotta say, in this situation the guy's probably the jerk for not considering how he'd make the woman feel if she wasn't ready to accept his proposal. Sure, he gets embarassed too, but he put himself in that position. She not only gets embarassed for having to reject him in front of all those people, but they're more likely to feel sorry for him and think of her as a bitch for hurting his feelings, when it isn't fair at all.

I'm pretty sure it's not her "fault" if he turns into a dog. That's completely up to him and if he allows that to turn him into an asshole, he was one from the start. We are all responsible for our own behavior and attitude. Yeah, unfortunately he didn't realize she wasn't as into him as he thought. Frankly, I don't understand why men propose at sporting events, unless the woman is super into sports too. I do agree that she could have said yes just in front of the camera's though.

Men can be very stupid. Why bring a woman to a sporting event to propose in public? It took her all but 45 seconds to evaluate their entire relationship (all those months/years) to give him the most painful Fail he remember for the rest of his life. She created a beast, a dog. Now every woman he dates will be abused with "hate sex". To all the ladies complaining about men being dogs, now you know why. The sad part is that she walks away a hero and he is the "bad" guy...
