after two years of having the sidekick iD, i think the sidekick iD's keybord is better than the sidekick 08's (my friend has it) because it's easier t use.

but otherwise, sidekick 08 is so much better.

yea u can turn it off and put it on vibrate

and when u really figure out how to work the phone, u can make your own sound profile that allows u to turn off the phone's system sounds so u can hear incoming calls and incoming texts, but no sound when buttons r being pushed

my friend was gong to let me buy his, i paid a few bucks every day for it, until i was gonna get to 80, but i then realized why he was selling it for so much, it was all frozen and you couldnt flip the screen without it freezing up, the screen would look like a tv without cable when it got messed up, but hey, im getting the 08 this month, so no biggy. ;)

if you buy one on ebay, it doesn't come with a plan. you would just have to look for one that comes with a charger and all the other accessories. you can buy a t-mobile sim card at a t-mobile store and put a plan on it. the price of the plan varies on exactly what you want.

but yeah you can get a sim card on ebay too or t-mobile and if you set a sidekick the unlimited data plan is recommended. its unlimited everything but minutes.

so aim, yahoo, email, web browsing, and texting.

the plan is $30 if you have the data plan alone. if you have any "anytime" minutes, the plan is only 20.

Just get the T-mobile Dash. It's up there with the blackberry. Costs less than this, plays video and music, HAS bluetooth. This shit jams up so god damn much, and good luck if that trackball gets fucked up.

yes u can get any sidekick prepaid i had a sidekick 2 prepaid just go to a t mobile store get a prepaid sim card and a sidekick data plan put minutes on it and ur set =)

lvoeyouboy the sk3 is a great phone but a lot of ppl dont need a camera or mp3 and onyl want aim texting and internet and this has it and its cheaper so it would be a good choice for some ppl

honestly, if you want a good quality phone you should get the sk3. i just got it a week ago and i absolutely love it. it has a camera and a music player and so much more, and its only 99 dollars now. on the other hand, why pay 49 dollars for a phone with no camera, music player, etc ? its only pretty much a 40 dollar difference and is not a big deal. my friend has this phone and doesnt like it as much as mine.

i know i have the lx just got the slide and i took it back its the only sidekick i dont have buttons too hard to press so i hate that fone if your fingers are made of steel get it otherwise get the id or lx if its your first sidekick choose the id its cheaper 50.00 and lx is 300.00

B. I have the sidekick LX and it has more features but it goes pretty fast and you can change trackball acceleration and it doesn't freeze at least not with mine so....
