girls were beautiful then, well groomed lovely nice to see and hear, its now 2011 what happened to them, they seem to have lost a lot.or am,mm just getting older, best singer of all even better than kathy kirby.
This was my Father's favourite artist. He died in Hospital whilst i held his hand for the last time. It makes me cry when i hear this song. I kind of like her too. The last rose was one of the last songs he ever heard and this one too.
I am sitting here in tears listening to the angelic voice of Deanna Durbin. I first heard her voice when I was a boy back in the 70's and have been in love ever since.
A great song to end the movie with. So far I think this is one of my favorites of hers even though all of hers that I've heard are my favorites (I haven't seen all her movies yet or heard all her songs (something I intend on doing). I keep a mental list of all my favorite singers and she is at the very top.She reached that spot in my faster than any other singer I've heard and I'm sure will stay there. She has the voice of an angel. A beautiful angel.
My worship for Miss Durbin increases video by video! May she lives so long for us to adore and thank her for her astistry! Thanks for posting it and I hope Miss Durbin is aware of the love and adoration she has and deverves!
The 87 year old Deanna Durbin from Canada influenced many important figures.Sister Mary Leo who developed countless sophanos used Deanna as her model. She attempted to train all her students to use Deanna's singing techniques. The Russian conductor and cellist Mstislav Rostropolich would sneak in the movies to see her. He was in awe of the purity of her voice and technique . His music was influenced by Deanna more so then anybody else. She lives in Paris and is not in recluse as many think.
Brava!!! In real life, Deanna Durbin performed this song at her sister's wedding back in 1936. Carefully check out the lyrics to get a deeper appreciation of this signature song.
Fair enough. I figured it was the ending, but still...
I'm sorry, I hope you don't think I'm one of those obnoxious YouTube trolls. I still think the song is lovely, and I think I'm becoming a fan of Ms. Durbin's. You're cool to post these, and I look forward to checking out more!

Absolutely beautiful performance by Deanna. Thanks for this.
How come Helen Parrish gets to wear a pretty crown, but Deanna's stuck wearing that ugly hat? That's no way to treat a star!

She really sings this song beautifully, I believe Sister Mary Leo was the main teacher of Kiri Te Kanawa.
And..........That Robert Cummings was quite a hunk!!! LOL

Any idea of where to find "Three Smart Girls Grow Up"? It does not seem to be in Netflix.
