actually global cooling is more of a real fear than global warming as we are about to enter a solar period of lower activity in roughly 2012------------expect lower tempretures, milder summers and snowier winters at that time. The earth recieves more energy from the sun in one day than humans make and use in an entire year. The sun, 109 times the size of earth, puts out much more light and heat energy than we can ever make, and is a much bigger factor in our weather than we are

@taghl You've got that backwards, the sun enters its PEAK of solar activity in 2012. The sun goes through 11 year cycles from its highest level of activity to its lowest. In the year 2012 is when its highest level of energy is being produced, from there its activity will reduce until its next period of lowest activity in 2023. And so on.
