The neck is sanded down thinner than a traditional Jazz Bass, like Geddy's is. Badass 2 bridge and Fender "Vintage" wound pickups. I also had a friend of mine sand off the lacquer on the neck for a more satin finish.
Thanks man! Checked out yours too. I played this on a Peavey Minx 110 that I purchased about 14 years ago. My stack (Ampeg SVT4 PRO, Avatar 210, Peavy BW 115) has much more sparkle and growl than that POS. :)

sounds good, but try switching to rotosound strings, the ones geddy uses... they have amazing sound

also note the 70's styling with the maple neck, block inlays, etc... and geddy's signature on the back of the headstock
