@SpicyDragoon don't get me wrong, you named some awesome bands, but they are nothing compared to some stuff that came from behemoth recently. Conquer All has so much in it. Of course it is my own opinion, and yours is yours, but I think that there is not much you can do in music that beats behemoth or the 'character' nergal. Though they are kind of distant/reserved. Bands like Machine Head are better for having fun, they are closer to the listeners in a way.

I always wonder why bands like this never criticize Islam or the Koran in their stage shows or their lyrics. It's always the Bible and Christianity. I can only presume its because they are scared of Muslims, like little girls. Even women like Brigitte Gabriel and Wafa Sultan have more balls than the entire black metal scene. I've always wondered, since Nergal's vocal method is so unique, on the record, it sounds like the scream is an exhale/inhale mix. Is that with sound editing on his voice or is it just two simultaneous vocals?

I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed it but if you listen to the Demigod album, his vocals definitely sound a bit different from the other records.

(I'm not an avid Behemoth fan, so I'm not so familiar with the progression of his vocals)
