Because it's far cheaper than an iPod and provides better audio quality.

Get an S9 or Zune HD if you like to spend more money, but the iPod (or iPod touch for that matter) is in endless loops of minor updates and limited in usability with anything other than iTunes. There is better stuff out there if you simply look instead of buying the next gen Apple shit that doesn't give you more in terms of more audio formats, which is what an audio player should be focused on - audio.

dude thank you i thought i was the only one who thought this way iPod suck ass there just targetting idoits now shitty updates and the majoriy of people still use pc's and its limited on there you have to use iTunes which i hate. And besides People Zune hd is better the screen's resolution is so amazing its hd and it loads everything faster and it works for pc and you can use windows player or other things to load music onto it unlike being limited to one software. Excellent audio = Wolfson audio chips, which the Zune HD and this little player in the video has. Honestly, any player with Wolfson chips produces amazing sound.

Not really. The Cowon S9 uses a similar layout for their firmwares too, actually, this player uses a very very similar layout to the S9.

And this is more of an S9 ripoff more so than the iPod touch (which is a mediocre player at best).

16GB in base10 to binary (space you actually get) = 15.0GB

15.0GB / 3.28125MB = 4,681 songs

frankly I don't mind the "iphone" rip offs. Personally I dislike the iphone because it is so exspensive and as usual with apple products limited to only work with specific apple supported things. on my windows mobile phone I can download codecs for different media types which an iphone won't do and many other things that improve functionality. but thats just my preference. This player seems like a good alternative to the expensive iTouch's.
