normally you would not have to devide doses during the day. Also what dose you need would be depending on how well your aldosterone, renin and sodium react to your dose.
I am needing 1 mg a day. But I use fludocortisone prepared by phamarcy, so my fillers are different then in florinef.
I also presume it differs if you have primairy addison's. or secondary addison's or temporary low adosterone due to hypothyroidism, or other reasons for low aldosterone.
No, it's obvious, his level of anterior midline adductor glia are malformed, degenerative, and will eventually make him become dutch and wear wooden shoes and live in a windmill.
This shows a lack of aldosterone and your adrenal glands and it hating you for overworking the sphincter muscles w/o sufficient hormone levels. Time to take more cortisol supplement for the win!
yes, indeed low aldosterone, but from cushing's disease in my case. Low renin low aldosterone. My cortisol is skyhigh due to cushing's disease, so better not take more cortisone(hydrocortisone and such) in this case;) I am treated now with medication prior to pituitary surgery, to lower cortisol and am using florinef to get the aldo normalised. You are right on the target with the sphincter muscles.
My adrenal glands are over stimmulated by a pituitary tumor spitting out too much acth. I have cushing's disease and soon get surgery to remove the pituitary tumor.
In cushing's disease the aldosterone can be low to low normal too. I know some adrenal fatique and hypothyroidism can temporary give low aldosterone.
I was wrongly diagnosed with low adrenal even to addison's, while I actually had cushing's disease. My am cortisol was low, but my evening and midnight cortisol is sky high.
"I was wrongly diagnosed with low adrenal even to addison's, while I actually had cushing's disease. My am cortisol was low, but my evening and midnight cortisol is sky high."
lydubeau - this is actually a typical pattern for adrenal fatigue - low cortisol throut te dya, hugh during evening hours.
My cortisol is screaming high in the night, like nine times high. I am diagnosed twice with cushings disease (cyclic)
I have no adrenal fatique.
I know there are people with adrenal fatique having slightly high cortisol, but I have dangerous high cortisol and all the cushings signs and symptoms.
I am seeing some forums promoting eating hydrocortisone like candy, I got that too, boy..it almost killed me. I am not angry, I just want to make sure there is a difference.
I have very high bp, big fat belly normal arms and legs, moonface, buffalow hump top of my back (cushing's) thin skin, high glucose, overheated, sweating, bruise fast, slow healing of wounds, infections all the time, etc, just check cushing's disease/syndrome on the internet.
My aldosterone is verry low, but this can happen in both addison's and cushing's.
And I am not the first cushing's patient with the diagnose of adrenal fatigue which was wrong.
I have cyclic cushing's (diagnosed) and there are phases where cortisol can run low in this, but it's totally different from adrenal fatigue or addison's.
Hello, I have been folowing this movie for a half year now..
I got exactly the same as shown on movie.
I wonder did you take any tests to find out what you had? and is it a cure for this? I have had this for over 3 years now and it is really hard for me to handle that in social situations
My eyes do the same thing. I'll something to talk to my doctor about that he can't simply bat aside.
(you may want to rename the video to 'Unstable Pupil Reflex,' however. As it stands, instable isn't a word, and it is also spelled instabel. Sites that link to this video now have that typo in them and makes them seem less credible. Thanks!
Thanks for the reply. I am from the Netherlands and translated the dutch word rather too directly;)
I fixed the title.
Not much doctors know about aldosterone, so you'll need one who knows about hormones and how to adress them. Also testing aldosterone with renin is the best idea. Add cortisol test.
Craving salt with low aldosterone is common and the urge to stretch your muscles a lot.
My pupils react to light the same way as in this video and have been for more than a few years, i recently had a 24 hr adrenal saliva test and it was revealed that i have very low cortisol. I am now on medication for it as i'm worried about Addison's Disease (on top of everything else i have!)

If your cortisol is high and your aldosterone low, then you may not need florinef, due to the slight mineral corticoid action from cortisol itself.
Florinef is to be started low, most people I know started on1/4 a day.

When you get reactions like this it could be a sign that your adrenal glands are fatigued and weak.

I only get it when looking in bright light, don't know if that's the same in your case.
In my case it is low aldosterone doing this. I craved salt all the time, due to low aldosterone.
It's treated with florinef if aldosterone is real low.
lydibeau 2 years ago
I have this symptom, noticed it when I was putting make up on under bright lights in the bathroom.
Should I go to my doctor and ask for a blood test if this is my only symptom? I'm a bit confused.
Thanks for posting this!

eyes can become puffy from hyperthyroidism also...
aaa050008 2 years ago
yes, correct about hyperthyroidism can make eyes look puffy too. I am not hyperthyroid anymore (used to be) had a thyroidectomy.
But you are right about the puffy look being possible in both thyroid conditions.
thanks:)

What causes this to happen? I have noticed this for more then a few years as well. What do the doctor's say? Please more info!!
