Actually, I think that the third method is the best. I tested both methods out, and I found that while the second method is pretty good, it was somewhat unreliable. Every once and a while, a sleeping lurker would briefly "wake up" and attack once or twice before going back to sleep, and I was unable to figure out what caused these misfires.
The third method is very predictable. The lurkers will remain asleep as long as you don't have vision of the building they were ordered to attack.
@medicdr0idl if you mean when only selecting the lurks, there IS only the stop and attack buttons. the whole reason for the overlord is so you have all the regular buttons, including hold position.
"Fuice1" second one is the best. i thought you could only use. "s,s,s,s,s" for stop. because I can see this with Jaedong and other korean players doing this trap. i didn't know this too. this is very useful. thanks for senekis93 for this vid. i enriched one of my vocabulary in starcraft. lol. :)
You'll usually want to have a couple of turrets at your natural's choke point and 1 or 2 bunkers with a couple of marines. That's enough to keep the lurkers camping outside from your base.
Zergs will usually use this opportunity to get expansions and hive tech. Get comsats and get your vessel and siege tech as fast as possible.
Then just push with a lot of marines/meds, a couple of tanks and as much vessels as you can afford. Go straight for their natural/main and send small m&m groups to destroy the weak/new expansions while taking your own.
alot of ways to counter...siege tanks before they have time to burrow, split your marines up and scan sotht way theycan only kill 1 marine at atime...or irradiate
You need detection. If you don't have detectors (turrets/ svs/ p cannons/ obs/ spores/ ovies) you will need to use splash to kill them by attacking one of your own units standing next to the lurker with an archon, siege tank or other similar unit.
I would recomend targeting a mineral field under the fog of war.
Second way is good, but lurkers will randomly attack for some unknown reason.

how do you counter lurker with terran? lurkers in one of the main reason i always lose to zerg players
covermewithaleaf33 2 years ago
It depends on the strategy.
2 hatch lurkers, hatch muta into lurkers, etc...
You'll usually want to have a couple of turrets at your natural's choke point and 1 or 2 bunkers with a couple of marines. That's enough to keep the lurkers camping outside from your base.
