  • Having this beer on Thursday with a buddy of mine, been looking forward to it!

  • @ebone1988 Its one of the best dipa's on the market. Enjoy it!

  • You are indeed the best Beer reviewer on YouTube. Your whole review was on point. Love your reviews keep doing your thing!

  • @JordonGB Thanks man I really appreciate that! Cheers

  • I personally prefer Hopslam myself. I got the onion and didn't care for that too much. Also that that same oniony bitterness from the Devil Dancer last time I had it.

  • @gopher401 Yeah its really a matter of preference between the two beers. Devil Dancer had a massive onion component to it this year for sure

  • I am so glad I am in Michigan and I can get this readily. It does get over-shadowed quite a bit from Hopslam, but I really like this beer. I love the crisp finish, but it is a little deceptive at 9.4%. Going to enjoy the game tomorrow and drink a couple of these. Keep the great reviews coming! Cheers!

  • @phil1sps I agree 100% with that. I think if this one were released during the summer or some other time then Hopslam it would be a lot more popular. Lucky for us its not i guess haha

  • so glad my buddy down in MA just picked up 2 4packs for me... its sooooooo freaking good!

  • @Rustocaps that is a great friend!! You owe him haha

  • This is a great DIPA! It's not as popular as Hopslam here in Chicago but that's ok. That just means there will be more left over for me to buy. Have u done a review on Lagunitas Sucks yet? That's another one of my favorites right now...it smells and tastes amazing.

  • @ssab4200 Yeah its unfortunate it gets lost in the Hopslam shuffle because I think its just as good if not better. And yeah I reviewed Lagunitas Sucks a few episodes ago just search for Beer Geek Nation lagunitas Sucks

  • I haven't had this year's yet but this has always been my favorite imperial IPA. Still awaiting it's arrival in KY.

  • @sturttv Its an amazing beer! Worth the wait!

  • @BeerGeekNation We FINALLY got it (1/6/12 batch) in KY this week. Pretty sure we're the last ones in the country. Yeah Beer House Distributors! It's damn good ... as usual.

  • @sturttv Nice! The good news is this beer holds up really well. Still fresh even though its a month old for sure

  • Think they will ship me some to Canada? ; P

  • @SudsY1979 I doubt it man :(

  • Everytime I see your videos...you get me so giddy for payday...LOL

  • @makememahsammich87 hahah tell your wallet im sorry :)

  • @BeerGeekNation it forgives you!

  • this is the best double IPA available in a bottle. amazing stuff!

  • @amorph1ss Yeah its one of my favorites for sure. Very under rated as well if you ask me

  • This easily is one of the best DIPA's I have ever had. As soon as this came in last week i picked up a few four packs. Cheers Chris!! Great review as always.

  • @NYRfan4ever Agreed its one I always try to pick up when it gets released

  • Founders and Bells are my two favorite breweries.

This is a great DIPA. I've had about a case of it this year.

I love how hoppy it is at 9.4%. Too many imperial/double IPAs are too sweet and bready.

But I must say I do prefer Hopslam and Lagunitas Sucks.

  • @jbrind00 I think its all a matter of tastes really. Your not going to go wrong with and of those 3 beers.

  • D-Licious!

  • @bobottobob Agreed!

  • went to founders last Friday. It's really good off the tap. Backwoods bastard was great as well.

  • @fishingmagnet77 Love Backwoods Bastard!

  • I live in southern California, and why does it seem like that all the crazy double IPA come from other places I can't get beers from? : (

  • @GrotesqueKevin hahah the grass is always greener on the other side ;) You guys have a mazing year rounds IPA's. We just chime in with our epic seasonals haha

  • Think I'll pick up two of the four packs, IIRC it was already on shelves for a bit of time already.

  • @DireAxis Get it as fresh as you can and then refridge it!

  • bought this and hopslam in the same trip to the store. happy as can be. not going to compare the two, just going to enjoy them both :D slow's bbq in detroit usually has this on draft btw, for those michigan viewers. get amazing bbq, and amazing beer.

  • @torch357 Yeah both beers are epic and bring something different to the table. Its really hard to compare beers on this level

  • This beer is awesome, I went through my 4-pack already. Hopefully I can find another one local.

  • @PbNAphasia I actually split a case of it this year with a friend so hopefully im set for a while

  • Daniel was going to send me this batch but he said it didn't live up to the draft version. Maybe next time it is released he'll send me a bottle.

  • @StumpyJoeJr I had both a bottle and a draft on Saturday and I could tell absolutely no difference between the 2. I think this years actually has a lot more hop bite to it then last years did

  • awesome beer, wish I could get founders here

  • @FSVR54 Yeah im pretty lucky to be able to get all of their stuff. They have yet to dissapoint

  • That artwork on the label is so good. I've only ever had the Backwoods Bastard but I know this brewery produces quality brews. This sounds absolutely sublime. Great review and made me jealous as hell, Cheers Chris.

  • @mrgrimviking Backwoods Bastard is a fantastic beer. All of their artwork is really solid as well. Cheers!

  • I got this and their Imperial Stout, Friday night. It was a REALLY good weekend.

  • @76EJG Nice! Both amazing beers

  • Nice review , one of my favorite DIPAs. Cheers

  • @kevinpetruzielo One of mine as well.

  • Great beer but I still like Hopslam better. Without ever having Kern Citra or Headdy Topper Hopslam is still my favorite DIPA. Nice review

  • @Wingfan13 For me I like this on just as much as Hopslam and more then Citra of Heady

  • I'm going to have to try this in the bottle version this year! The tap version was good but not amazing

  • @CheertoBeers I just had the tap version on Saturday and loved it

  • One of my favorite beers.

  • @vandercocky Mine too. Just fantastic stuff

  • I far prefer Hopslam or Abrasive, to Double Trouble. Just one man's opinion.

  • @pesky716 Yeah when the beers is at the level of those others its really splitting hairs as to which one is best. All of them are awesome
