@NTTKR Bluray's are natively meant to be played in 4k, but since our current HDTV's don't provide that resolution, it's actually taking away from our experience. I'm guessing that once these tv's hit the market, maybe the tv will automatically upconvert the picture quality of a bluray to 4k.
@taha1112 It's 4.26666666667 times higher res. 1,920x1,080=2,073,600. 4,096x2,160=8,847,360. 8,847,360/2,073,600=4.26666666667. You're calculation was wrong. 4x is the result of 2x2 (1,920x2...1,080x2). You have to take into account both 2s. Basic math.
