Dr shulgin is cut off during the most interesting part of the series and than pt 9 start with Ann speacking so PLEASE SOMEONE ?Phenothiazine? how did the sychophranic know his own brain scan with the methionine essay?
I love Alexander Shulgin, but I must disagree with him strongly on his statement that DiPT has "ugly" effects. I've had the pleasure of trying this unique substance several times and it's a most fascinating substance that deserves a lot more research and attention than it's been given.
the united states government does not want people thinking outside the box that they have constructed alcohol does a great job of keeping you in that box
This is a fascinating field and it is an outrageous infringement on our liberty that western governments -pushed to do so by the U.S. and the D.E.A -have made research and experimentation of these tools illegal! A drug which causes violence, kills thousands, and causes untold crime: alcohol, is freely available while these tools for investigating the mind and consciousness, which harm no-one if properly used, are banned.

No dude, alcohol, does permanent damage to your organs and brain, flashbacks become less frequent over timeand are mostly gone in 10 years tops.
You'll miss them :) . But acid is not realy a mandala type drug, but can transform the world you observe in the most astounding and impossible ways.

so. I can take LSD and have a profound experience of color, image shifting, encounter with mandala like beings.
There is a possibility unwanted images my come back from time to time.
Or i can drink booze. Have all of my facilities impaired while being in a less aware and less active and creative state of mind.
The next day my stomach will hurt and I will have a headache.
I dont understand why one would be considered so much more harmful than the other by the GOVT.

So true.
I am very guilty of having used it to deal with the box itself.
