This is an economic problem, not a political problem. Economists are largely united in opposition to Obama's spending package. As the senator said, gov't can only spend money in the long run, not create.

This is such bullshit. Raising income taxes doesn't effect the cost equation of a small business. A business is looking for optimal profit and it's effectively part of that profit that is being taxed (that's where the investor get's his income from). But nothing changes on the balance sheets of the company. Changing your business strategy means either you weren't making optimal profit or you are moving away from optimal profit. The latter is irrational.

Businesses don't pay increased taxes-you pay those increased taxes in the increased price of goods and services in the market place. They will maintain their profit margins-but tax increases hurt everyone. Its people with money who create jobs-not poor people-Know folks don't like to hear that but it is true.
