great to find this video. can anyone post the lyrics of this song? also looking for a reference/lyrics of a song sung by MDR in Nattakurinji which has the line "mangala girivara sanakaadi pati maanasa". I have been unable to decipher the opening line of this song.

Actually no. It is a Varada Dasa composition, deliberately composed in the style of Shri Thyagaraja's Utsava Sampradaya krithis. There

is one more Charanam with the "Varada Dasa" signature which he never sang.

Same here! I have looked for this composition in MDR's voice but am equally happy listening to Rama Verma rendering this.
