@asianbeverage APC stands for Ableton Performance Controller so im not sure if its going to be anywhere near as useful through FL studio. might be better off looking into a controller from the MPC line instead.
Hi there, call me old fashioned, but I've only played vinyl and CDs, and I'm wondering what exactly's going on here. Have you sampled phrases from wav files and then you're using the APC to trigger them? How could you explain this to someone who has only mixed with CDs and a mixer?
@grampskvideo Okay well i wouldnt call this a mix, this is a live audition or performance of all the midi clips we have made with sounds we construct with various syntehsizers or samplers. Mainly software ones as i am a fan of midi equipment, i know analog synths and hardware synths are amazing but this is what i know :D so anyways the apc40 is built to run with ableton live really smoothly if you set up your song right basically you que up the different parts when you know they should be played
@grampskvideo And after you get that down and memorized it allows you to further explor your creative "live" feelings for effecting certain parts, creating breaks or fills in the drums with certain effects, you know just generally whatever you feel to be good in that moment. Also since this is midi, you can use these controllers with nearly everything that supports it, for instnance we do "DJ mixing" with this equipment as well, my keyboard acts like my decks ABCD and the apc40 is the mixer.
@MonkeysOnRiot Basically midi programming and like mapping the knobs to what you want to control via what we have made and sampled our own, or effects and what not. :D it allows you to control the parameters you want , not whats just given and yeah basically we just play around with it, like how a band will just jam in there garage for fun, same thing here just with different layers or levels of the music not just instruments =]
@zenhatesyou Well, there is the very traditional composition to dubstep that i am familiar with however, this is how i like to rock out to it hehe. None the less a dubstep tune you might have in mind, might pop up from us one day. thanks none the less for watching friend
I literally grabbed my computer speakers and pressed them to my ears while I was nodding to this tunee. i really enjoyed the mixing you two did, it seemed like it was meant for the sound you guys were going for. in my opinion it had a darkstep kind of resinous to it-- Amazing!
@jayrockshell Damn , i really appreciate comments like this. The words take me away, thanks makes me visualize creating more music to do the same and more ear pounding effects hehe. Get a phat pair of headphones if you don't already and wow will change your world haha. =] Namaste
Sooo great, such a nice flow to it all :D and not to mention just insane orgasmic sounding shittt! Love it and so glad ur havin fun with ur little thingy ya got there :)
