Funny thing is most street fights iv seen end up with one guy against not less than 2 opponents, in some extreme cases the Backup opponent waits until you start fighting and then he creeps up on you while your busy grappling about and you'd probably wake up in a hospital. So in a street fight id rather be a striker than a grappler thank you very much. Grappling will not end a fight as quick and effectively as Striking would.
@morbidbushido spot on fella, theres a clip form turkey on here where a young boxer is fighting 4-5 other guyss, he ko's 3 of them onto the pavement....check boxer fight 5 guys.....at the end of the day you can be 3rd dan in 7 dif martial arts and cant fight 1 dude half your size who never had fight in his life...it depens on the person weather you can fight or not
To EVERYBODY who doesn't fight please shut the hell up about MMA vs. Boxing, i'm annoyed heaing most of the comments! In a real fight it's anyones match, each style has strengths and weakness! I'm a boxer who trained w/ MMA guys in the cage and the ring. They tap me out, but i knock them out. Styles make fights, MMA guys do have the advantage in a street fight, because they train to use more strikes, and to grab and hold (a foul in boxing), but they better be quick and disciplined to get inside
mma is for the barbaric guys who cant deal with technique and fair contest in a sport like boxing (the guys who try to go macho in a boxing match and get their asses pounded coz they have no self control and they tire themselves out) . not to say alot of those guys couldnt woop alot of boxers. but mma is street fighter in a cage . its no discipline n no technique like there is in boxing . i aint gon front, dudes like GSP DO give a good name to mma but the rest of em are just half retarded fools
@NeonD311 You're delusional. Barbaric is taking 300 shots to the mellon. I LOVE boxing, but come on, world champions in boxing would get tooled by a low level MMA guy in a real fight.
@TheAndrew668 only if they grab 'em. In a street fight, if the MMA guy can't take the fight to the ground virtually immediately, something that some environments make extremely difficult (i.e., if not in open space, the MMA guy may be in trouble ... in a bottleneck, the MMA guy becomes a punching bag city), he may be in REAL trouble. Then, there's the size of the boxer. Trained boxers are registered lethal weapons for a reason. If a big skilled guy with no gloves hits you, you're so DEAD!!!
@TheAndrew668 In a sanctioned event, yes. Not on the street, though. That clinch and knee shit is SO ineffective. Again, environment plays a role. Every time some wannabe Tong Po fuck lifts one leg to knee, he's off balance ... he'd get his ribs broken, his other leg kicked out from under him, and his face smashed. The elbow's a different story ... that's actually EXTREMELY effective; maybe the most effective move in the MMA striking arsenal. MMA is cool as hell, but not against a boxer.
@daTruChosen I don't think so....look at some UFC fights with boxers in them. Toney vs. Couture for example. Again, I LOVE boxing, but against a MMA fighter the boxer's toast.
Micky Ward was such a fun fighter to watch; but sometimes I wish he would have moved around more, and took less punishment, but I guess that might have made him less entertaining
I hate the argument of "MMA would beat boxing in a streetfight." or anything similar, if you're an MMA fighter you're training to fight in a cage with MMA rules. It's like saying "Rugby players would beat tennis players in a game of 5-a-side football" Fair enough they're all ballgames, but they're completely different.
@supersix84 James toney took that chance and got in to the MMA ring and fair enough got beat. But minutes after the fight in the ring the MMA pussy Randy Catoure was asked to rematch in the boxing ring to take the same chance Tonny took and he and his manager chickend out and confirmed to every one that MMA is for PUSSYS they cant tap out in a boxing ring its quit like a coward or fight till the end. And MMA just dont have the guts
@legion860 Fair enough, but that is still saying that boxers are better fighters only if the MMA guy doesn't do anything but box and leaves all the rest of his repertoire outside the ring. I love boxing, but it is obvious that in anything other than a straight boxing match the boxer is at a disadvantage. Even if it were a muay thai match and not a pure MMA fight the boxer would have slim odds at best. Mentality has a lot to do with it.
@supersix84 What i am saying also is that the MMA fighter when asked to take the same chance the boxer took against him he chickend out and there is no way around it.
@legion860 Boxers think their shit don't stink to the point that they think they can go into an MMA fight with absolutely no grappling experience and expect to succeed. If Toney had simply learned how to sprawl to avoid the takedowns and to get back to his feet from the ground it would have been a much better fight, but he couldn't even put forth that effort. If MMA fighters have no guts why is it the boxers are the ones who want to limit the rules?
@supersix84 Tonney trained months for that fight and got beat. The MMA fighter was offerd the same fight in return and he shit himself. Boxers fight till they get knocked out or quit on their stool the first time a MMA fighter is under pressurer they tap out. Boxeing has been around for hundreds of years MMA is just a fad it will be with brake danceing and Teenage mutant turtles just a fad. Boxing will allways be the sport of kings
@legion860 Boxing and MMA both got their start in ancient Greece and were part of the original Olympic games. MMA has existed in the US since '93 which is a long time for a fad, and was around much longer in other countries. MMA fighters tap because the alternative is to have a limb broken in what will probably be a career ending injury or to be choked on conscious.
@supersix84 Thats is crap the Olimpics started Greco Roman wrestleing wich is as far from MMA as Amature boxing is today from the pro game. MMA is for the modern short atention span generation of fans who could not appreciate any thing other then a brawl
@legion860 The Greeks practiced pankration, which was introduced to the Olympic games in 648 BC. It was a no holds barred match where the competitors used boxing, wrestling, and submission moves to achieve victory. It was the fighting style Alexander the Great introduced into Southern Asia when he invaded India and is the forefather of all Eastern martial arts and Western boxing.
@supersix84 Eastern martilal arts developed indapenditly of any outside influence wich is why alot of them use agriculturel tools as weapons. MMA did not originate anyware its a package a product for the moderan short atention span fan of today who dont have the patience for a 12 round boxing fight.
@legion860 It's checkers and chess. You are claiming that the boxers (checkers) are better than MMA (chess) because they can beat them in a boxing match (checkers). They are two different sports. MMA comes closer to simulating a real fight and is a better representation of what would happen in a street fight.
@supersix84 I dont see MMA as closer to a real street fight at all. 99% of MMA matches go to the floor in grapiling and submission. Anyone in a real fight will tell you the last thing you ever whant to do is be on the floor your at a disadvantage allready. You goning to spend 5 min on a night club floor or the side walk trying arm bar some guy while his buddies dance all over your face. In A real fight you stay on your feet and punch,
@legion860 The American Society of Law Enforcement training reports that of all physical altercations between two people 62% end up with both on the ground grappling. Also, the grappling arts are not entirely based off of both individuals going to ground. There are a large number of joint locks, breaks, and chokes that can be done from a standing position plus the considerable number of maneuvers that can be performed from a muay thai clinch.
@supersix84 That dosent mean going to the ground is the right thing to do. And if there is so much mauay thai grappels and standing grappels availible to MMA fighters then why do most MMA fights go straight to the ground. And if you look at the un armed fighting thought to special forces like KRAV MAGA used by the Isrealis they stay standing punching or elbowing or what ever comes to hand but going on the ground is tought as a last resort.
@legion860 If you want to go to a club and start a 5 on 1 match, your style isn't going to matter. Stupidity isn't a martial art. If you think you are going to box with 5 guys and somehow manage to knock them out or take them out of the fight you are sadly mistaken. At best you are going to rock one or two of them and then the rest are going to throw you to the ground and destroy you because you don't have the knowledge or training to effectively get back to your feet or defend yourself.
Every fight video has the same argument, which is better boxing or MMA? They're completely different. The purpose of MMA is to have people with different disciplines fight to see who is the best in a fight. Boxing is a gentlemen's agreement to keep the fight on the feet with no kicks and a minimum of head butts and elbows. Is a grappler going to beat a boxer in a cage match? Every time. Is a boxer going to beat a grappler in a boxing match? Duh.
@supersix84 James Toney the boxer took that chance and lost but at least he had the balls to try it out when Randy Coture the MMA fighter was offerd a return bout in the boxing ring to just take the same chance the boxer took he shit himself. So you can argue wich is the better style or wich is the better sport but we know who the real fighters are
@supersix84 spot on mate, and lets be honest 80% of the time its the mma guys who bring the arguement, there hell bent on running boxing down, theres a clip on here of the play by play guy from ufc totally going over the top at lou dibela about how boxes dead, boxings not real fighting....i love boxing, i was a boxer but i'm fine with mma. you dont hear people shouting that football is better then basket ball...both sports are good in there own way its what you like, i like boxing better
If I were in a street fighter, I'd much rather know MMA. It's more practical for self defense. But honestly, boxing is so much more asthetically pleasing. I'd much rather watch a great boxing match. And while MMA guys are good or mediocre at a few different disciplines, boxers are the absolute best at one thing. From a sporting aspect, I'd rather watch guys like that instead of guys who are just serviceable at a few different styles.
@hurlubu you'd need to do akido for atleast 6 years 4 days aweek to get anywhere near good enough to take 2 thugs out.....it is a very good art tho and any age group can get into it
@italoirish888 Yeah, you're right. Guys who were all state college wrestlers, got a black belt in jiu jitsu, and are muay thai champions are really only mediocre at a few different disciplines.
@ltjboy03 You seldom if ever find guys that are great in more than one thing. Brock lesnar was a great wrestler but a poor standup artist. Matt Hughes too. George St. Pierre is good at wrestling, as well as onhis feet, but he's not world class in either thing. He couldn't win a wrestling gold medal or a boxing gold medal. He's good at both. Not great though. I boxed and I can see clear holes in his mechanics that he can get away with in MMA that would kill him against a great boxer.
The other point is if you want two MEN to go at it in the ring and fight, you either get Smoger or Cappucino as referees. They have no issues with fighters going into the trenches and getting into it. Moret used to be good for that too but hes croaked.
Both sports have their great moments, both have their strengths and both have their weaknesses. BUT for me nothing gets my blood going like a ballsy gusty fight between two good and tough prize fighters in the squared circle. Its a matter of preference, and fights like this are why i always will love boxing first. For all his flaws, there are no Teddy Atlas types in all of MMA. Rare to see him this excited about a good fight :D
Boxing isn't dead Dana White put a ufc ppv match up against a boxing ppv same night and lost miserably. If ufc was overtaking it why is Randy Coture pulling In a million on one fight and manny pacquio pulling 20 million the numbers speak for themselves. And as for putting a boxer vs. MMA against eachother look up Tim Silvia Vs. Ray Mercer 30 seconds of MMA embarrassment.
@Jerichocash7 Guess what would happen if you put 99.9% of the MMA fighters in a boxing ring? The answer is it would be a massacre. Coutore is great but he would refuse a boxing match against Toney because he is smart and knows what would happen.
Thanks so much for posting this video, Grrreat Quality! I remember watching this and calling people on the phone to watch this amazing fight (the only time i ever did that again was during TUF 1 Bonnar v Griffin). Saw "The Fighter" last night was a little surprised they didnt talk about this fight(made sense though). Just wanted to say thanks again for posting this, cant wait to watch again, hope its as electrifying as it was in 2001
you know how the mma people is jealous of boxing they say we are dead and compete against us and they got the nerve to change the name of boxing to striking to make it theres please its called boxing if you mma dick heads hate us dont use boxing if it aint so good like kickboxing or wrestling damm hipocrites
man boxing is the fine wine of fighting the mma community always says that boxing is dead why cuz there jealous of the boxing community why because we were first and been around way longer then mma or kfc ufc what ever you called it. and if boxing is dead then why does alot of people pay to watch a boxing fight in a arena or ppv event boxing will never die i will multiple
Boxing been around centuries, MSM MMA has only been around a couple of decades. Boxing has proven it's got the legs to survive through the up and down periods of history.
Go back to watching your MMA until people get bored off it and move onto the next thing and you pretend you never liked in the first place like all the Wrestling fans did when it's market bottomed out and leave the adults to watch their boxing kid.
Dicky does not speak english , he speaks some language of sorts , that only micks like ward understand. I myself cannot even begin to comprehend that babbling
thanks very much for this post-I live in Nashua,NH have trained in Lowell when I was in the GGloves, build roads like Mickey, love his style. What a banger. i only love Joe Frazier more. I have remembered this fight since the night I saw it. What a worker! This was ring magazine fight of the year, and they didn't even mention it in the movie. Don't waste your money; the movie is a bunch of screaming harpies and shows Mickey dominated and run by his mother, his sisters, Dickie.movie=waste!
Yeah these die hard boxing fans are idiots, I don't see why they can't leave MMA be. Why can't people just enjoy both sports. And I know of many mixed marital artist who have better chins than the vast majority of boxers.
hahaha the hate for mma on here is ridiculous. no chin and no heart? that's a good one dude, you obviously have never seen wanderlei silva, minotauro nogueira, chris lytle, dan henderson, or jon fitch. the homosexual references are real funny too. just because you're homophobic and not athletic enough to grapple doesn't mean you have to hate.
mma pfff isnt that where one guy lies on his back and another guy lies on top of him then the guy wraps his leg around his waist you never see that gay shit in BOXING
@derickhxc I'm sorry you feel that way. This really makes me roll my eyes as a professional MMA fighter who also boxes 3-4 times a week. I grew up on boxing and wrestled through high school. MMA's popularity should help boxing. But just like American football and soccer, similar sports rarely have the same fans. Some guys in MMA, like myself, would rather get caught trying to finish then dry hump to a decision. However, we're the minority I'm afraid. I'm sorry. :(
@derickhxc . I resent that comment. I'm a die-hard mma fan and they would be on the mat dry-humping, NOT fucking against the cage (maybe after in the locker room).
@motleyqueer im with you dude, im not a die hard mma fan though i am a fan of both MMA and boxing, i mean why not enjoy both contact sports mediums? the way i see it there are boring boxing matches and boring mma matches as well, but fights like Ward vs Gatti or the first Griffin vs Bonnar fight just restore my faith that magic can happen in either sport
@derickhxc the fact you watch mma and see something homosexual says a lot about YOU, not the mixed martial artists who are able to wrestle with another man and not think the entire time 'oooooh this is so gay'. you are pathetic. these guys wouldn't last 5 seconds in MMA, just as any MMA'ist wouldn't last 5 seconds in the ring. and not all MMA is fought in a cage, dummy.
@derickhxc fuck you dude, it's the people in the cage that determine whether a fight is exciting or not, not the sport. there are plenty of boring boxing fights and exciting mma fights.
@omgpwnomg funny how boxers fans get upset because their sport is dying. mma is for pussys? haha sounds more like haters showing fear for their dead sport.
@masterlessamurai i dont know about him but i am a boxing fan and if boxing loses fans ill still be watching i could care less im not going to watch mma just because that's what everyone is in too i could care less what anyone's into so maybe he just doesn't like mma
@omgpwnomg yeah those "pussies" would stomp you into the ground, i guess that i expect a stupid comment to some from a moron who can't even spell pussies.
@omgpwnomg your fucking stupid. i do both boxing and mma, and although i prefer boxing, mma is much harder. the fight is unpredictable and the fighters are fearless. that being said, ward is the fuckin man
@MrEdischu you're a fucking idiot. you think a boxer's only skills are swinging his arms? id put any mma fighter in history against tyson in his prime. mma is for faggots and it isnt entertaining at all
@notchjohnson1 Im a boxer too and I know what a boxer can do.. Ive trained so much with my hands so so much that I forgot how to use my legs for hitting I can hit only with my hands but If I try wrestling or kicking I will look like a total idiot.. There is so much trust in my hands that I cant think about anything else to hit while Im fighting in the street.. I've fought against wrestler too I only punched him twice and after second I saw the sky and I was down and couldn't even breathe..
@notchjohnson1 and also there was an MMA figher once I saw in our gym, I could not believe what I saw that was a real monster.. I even cant explain what I saw he fought against our boxer who had over 70 matches in the gym and had 4 times bigger courage and heart aandd the boxer was dissapointed..
@MrEdischu lol your argument is based on amateurs... that boxer was probably a bum and the mma dude was probably on roids anyway. real boxers, real contenders, would whoop almost any mma champ out there
@notchjohnson1 MMA fighters they can wrestle they can kick and they can box but the boxer can only hit and nothing more.. Boxing is just hitting you can throw awful shots but you can also eat them but in MMA the fighters are much more experienced because not only they get punched they get smashed they get kicks, you cannot imagine that because I can tell you've never fought 5 rounds..
@notchjohnson1 you are retarded. See Randy Couture vs. James Toney. Or Royce Gracie vs Art Jimmerson. Jimmerson was the current 200 lb cruiserweight boxing champion and wand was embarrassed. You know nothing about real fighting.
@omgpwnomg Its pathetic how uneducated current boxing fans are. Boxing greats from the past like Jack Dempsey and Rocky Marciano were excellent wrestlers. Dempsey was not only a wrestler but studied judo also. These Boxing legends from the past knew that a real fighter cross trained and knew the art of wrestling as well as boxing.
@mattsnow81 hey mate just stumbled across ur comment, i've uploaded the first burton fight and have the second one (not uploaded yet) so go check it out!
@mrgor24 certainly will, thank you very much! the only vid available is the ending where teddy atlas wants ti start a riot! I'll watchany of augustus's fight and there are a lot not available on youtube or google, like against trujillo or rangel. I was saddened when he announced he retires! Thanx again for the post!
@mrgor24 Hey just went to your channel aqnd saw all the augustus fight! cool! I remember seeing the Oliveira fight live and Augustus was dancing like a disco freak! Where are you getting all these fights man? did u buy a dvd? :)

@supersix84 James Toney the boxer took that chance and lost but at least he had the balls to try it out when Randy Coture the MMA fighter was offerd a return bout in the boxing ring to just take the same chance the boxer took he shit himself. So you can argue wich is the better style or wich is the better sport but we know who the real fighters are
legion860 10 months ago
@supersix84 Then there's the third question: Who will win in a street fight MMA or Boxer? Dunnoe the answer to that, but whoever has the gun wins.
eatsyrup 4 months ago
@supersix84 but which would win in a hugging match?
vomitedshit 1 month ago
@supersix84 Put an MMA vs a Boxer in real life fight ... MMA anyday
noobszoid 1 month ago
@supersix84 spot on mate, and lets be honest 80% of the time its the mma guys who bring the arguement, there hell bent on running boxing down, theres a clip on here of the play by play guy from ufc totally going over the top at lou dibela about how boxes dead, boxings not real fighting....i love boxing, i was a boxer but i'm fine with mma. you dont hear people shouting that football is better then basket ball...both sports are good in there own way its what you like, i like boxing better
Excecutioner147 1 month ago
If I were in a street fighter, I'd much rather know MMA. It's more practical for self defense. But honestly, boxing is so much more asthetically pleasing. I'd much rather watch a great boxing match. And while MMA guys are good or mediocre at a few different disciplines, boxers are the absolute best at one thing. From a sporting aspect, I'd rather watch guys like that instead of guys who are just serviceable at a few different styles.
italoirish888 11 months ago 11
@italoirish888 id rather know aikido to figth 4 ppl at the same time.
hurlubu 1 month ago
@hurlubu you'd need to do akido for atleast 6 years 4 days aweek to get anywhere near good enough to take 2 thugs out.....it is a very good art tho and any age group can get into it
Excecutioner147 1 month ago
@italoirish888 Yeah, you're right. Guys who were all state college wrestlers, got a black belt in jiu jitsu, and are muay thai champions are really only mediocre at a few different disciplines.
ltjboy03 1 month ago

Moret used to be good for that too but hes croaked.
shkotay 1 year ago
Both sports have their great moments, both have their strengths and both have their weaknesses. BUT for me nothing gets my blood going like a ballsy gusty fight between two good and tough prize fighters in the squared circle. Its a matter of preference, and fights like this are why i always will love boxing first. For all his flaws, there are no Teddy Atlas types in all of MMA. Rare to see him this excited about a good fight :D

@coke378 So why are you complaining about it? IDIOT.

Jerichocash7 1 year ago
@Jerichocash7 Guess what would happen if you put 99.9% of the MMA fighters in a boxing ring? The answer is it would be a massacre. Coutore is great but he would refuse a boxing match against Toney because he is smart and knows what would happen.
Roop433 1 year ago
@Jerichocash7 And Mercer was ancient at the time!

Just wanted to say thanks again for posting this, cant wait to watch again, hope its as electrifying as it was in 2001

you know how the mma people is jealous of boxing they say we are dead and compete against us and they got the nerve to change the name of boxing to striking to make it theres please its called boxing if you mma dick heads hate us dont use boxing if it aint so good like kickboxing or wrestling damm hipocrites
dion1262 1 year ago
man boxing is the fine wine of fighting the mma community always says that boxing is dead why cuz there jealous of the boxing community why because we were first and been around way longer then mma or kfc ufc what ever you called it. and if boxing is dead then why does alot of people pay to watch a boxing fight in a arena or ppv event boxing will never die i will multiple
dion1262 1 year ago
Boxing been around centuries, MSM MMA has only been around a couple of decades. Boxing has proven it's got the legs to survive through the up and down periods of history.
Go back to watching your MMA until people get bored off it and move onto the next thing and you pretend you never liked in the first place like all the Wrestling fans did when it's market bottomed out and leave the adults to watch their boxing kid.

thanks very much for this post-I live in Nashua,NH have trained in Lowell when I was in the GGloves, build roads like Mickey, love his style.

Acefighter0098 1 year ago
hahaha the hate for mma on here is ridiculous. no chin and no heart? that's a good one dude, you obviously have never seen wanderlei silva, minotauro nogueira, chris lytle, dan henderson, or jon fitch. the homosexual references are real funny too. just because you're homophobic and not athletic enough to grapple doesn't mean you have to hate.

mma pfff isnt that where one guy lies on his back and another guy lies on top of him then the guy wraps his leg around his waist you never see that gay shit in BOXING

@1stnaruto What does this mean? Are you 8?
derickhxc 1 year ago
@derickhxc I'm sorry you feel that way. This really makes me roll my eyes as a professional MMA fighter who also boxes 3-4 times a week. I grew up on boxing and wrestled through high school. MMA's popularity should help boxing. But just like American football and soccer, similar sports rarely have the same fans. Some guys in MMA, like myself, would rather get caught trying to finish then dry hump to a decision. However, we're the minority I'm afraid. I'm sorry. :(
blizakebowman 1 year ago
@blizakebowman u joined mma at a late age sucks for u
niggahigga123able 1 year ago
@derickhxc . I resent that comment. I'm a die-hard mma fan and they would be on the mat dry-humping, NOT fucking against the cage (maybe after in the locker room).
motleyqueer 1 year ago
like homosexuals like all the MMA fighters because every time they hit each other they are down because they have no chin and no heart
landreev 1 year ago
@motleyqueer im with you dude, im not a die hard mma fan though i am a fan of both MMA and boxing, i mean why not enjoy both contact sports mediums? the way i see it there are boring boxing matches and boring mma matches as well, but fights like Ward vs Gatti or the first Griffin vs Bonnar fight just restore my faith that magic can happen in either sport
lickstickly 1 year ago
@lickstickly I like boxing more. But MMA has way better match ups.
coolrunnings1980 1 year ago
@derickhxc LMAO thats the funniest comment i ever read
bigslynhs 1 year ago
@derickhxc the fact you watch mma and see something homosexual says a lot about YOU, not the mixed martial artists who are able to wrestle with another man and not think the entire time 'oooooh this is so gay'. you are pathetic. these guys wouldn't last 5 seconds in MMA, just as any MMA'ist wouldn't last 5 seconds in the ring. and not all MMA is fought in a cage, dummy.
TheLagunaSunrise 1 year ago 2
@derickhxc fuck you dude, it's the people in the cage that determine whether a fight is exciting or not, not the sport. there are plenty of boring boxing fights and exciting mma fights.

@derickhxc yea mma is for pussys boxing is for real fighters

@omgpwnomg really....... let's see a boxer go up against an mma fighter in a street fight, hell even a pure kickboxer would pick apart a boxer

TheLagunaSunrise 10 months ago
@omgpwnomg your fucking stupid. i do both boxing and mma, and although i prefer boxing, mma is much harder. the fight is unpredictable and the fighters are fearless. that being said, ward is the fuckin man
TheHulfachor 10 months ago
@omgpwnomg a boxer can hit only with arms, but in the ground theyre helpless against wrestlers, a mma fighter will crush a boxer ;)
MrEdischu 10 months ago
@MrEdischu you're a fucking idiot. you think a boxer's only skills are swinging his arms? id put any mma fighter in history against tyson in his prime. mma is for faggots and it isnt entertaining at all
notchjohnson1 8 months ago
@notchjohnson1 Im a boxer too and I know what a boxer can do.. Ive trained so much with my hands so so much that I forgot how to use my legs for hitting I can hit only with my hands but If I try wrestling or kicking I will look like a total idiot.. There is so much trust in my hands that I cant think about anything else to hit while Im fighting in the street.. I've fought against wrestler too I only punched him twice and after second I saw the sky and I was down and couldn't even breathe..
MrEdischu 8 months ago
@notchjohnson1 and also there was an MMA figher once I saw in our gym, I could not believe what I saw that was a real monster.. I even cant explain what I saw he fought against our boxer who had over 70 matches in the gym and had 4 times bigger courage and heart aandd the boxer was dissapointed..
MrEdischu 8 months ago
@MrEdischu lol your argument is based on amateurs... that boxer was probably a bum and the mma dude was probably on roids anyway. real boxers, real contenders, would whoop almost any mma champ out there
notchjohnson1 8 months ago
@notchjohnson1 MMA fighters they can wrestle they can kick and they can box but the boxer can only hit and nothing more.. Boxing is just hitting you can throw awful shots but you can also eat them but in MMA the fighters are much more experienced because not only they get punched they get smashed they get kicks, you cannot imagine that because I can tell you've never fought 5 rounds..
MrEdischu 8 months ago
@notchjohnson1 you are retarded. See Randy Couture vs. James Toney. Or Royce Gracie vs Art Jimmerson. Jimmerson was the current 200 lb cruiserweight boxing champion and wand was embarrassed. You know nothing about real fighting.
LebenTysonTank 7 months ago
@omgpwnomg Its pathetic how uneducated current boxing fans are. Boxing greats from the past like Jack Dempsey and Rocky Marciano were excellent wrestlers. Dempsey was not only a wrestler but studied judo also. These Boxing legends from the past knew that a real fighter cross trained and knew the art of wrestling as well as boxing.
