  • You don't need a higher learning to see the effect our impact has had on our planet. you need common sense, nothing else and you will learn on your own what WE need to do.

  • he is inspirational :)

  • David basically describes us as a parasite on the planet. Am I the only one here that finds that offensive? Our prosperity and achievements are a direct result of our intelligence and our ability to unleash human capitol. Far from being a parasite I'd say. Shame on you David.

  • @TheBelaire i was offended by his daughter the famous girl who talked at the UN in 1992 she is a darling of the earth movement and no one will ever say anything bad about her i get sh*t for saying these ppl are going to bring us into the NWO and it earth religion.. They all offend me because they go tot far and i am not an animal BTW

  • I hear lots of guilt spewing and not too many facts.

  • @wendydarling17241 I detect a theme in your comments! Best source of hard facts on peak oil (as mentioned on the other video) would be The Oil Drum and Energy Bulletin.com. On the general subject of Overshoot, the seminal work was William Catton's book of the same name. I'm a data-geek too, so I totally understand the concern. Cheers! Jon

  • Nothing but sanity and reason- two antitheses of the consumer epidemic.

  • Love the banner!

  • He~ is saying we're we may be a super species, but we still don't care enough about what people are doing on the other side of the mountain or sea, to make a great enough difference to save us from extinction.

  • It is sad that naive people are still lending credibility to this liar.

  • Spot On David.

    We're hyper-consuming.

    Growth is killing us.

  • Google ClimateGate.

  • Super species? If it is right, it is OK to say that we need super power and super plans and we have to be careful when Someone sell us on these new taxes. Don't you know what I mean, check the videos of my channel and you will open your eyes once for all all!

  • Regardless of anyone's personal opinion of the man, what he says is true. We have indeed become a force of nature.

  • David is a tenth level maggot

  • Is on-going consumerism a core value?

If it is, than it's an unviable, non-sustainable, ultimately destructive "value".

Look at all the screaming going on over Cap and Trade... like spoiled children who can't stand the inconvenience of being accountable to the future.

Expect more screaming from that quarter.

Or, learn from the past and look at the societies and civilizations that didn't adapt to the winds of change: Easter Island, the Maya, the Greenland Norse...

    just a thought.

  • The only cap that's being traded now is a pilon.

  • Everybody is saying stuff just but its your world you have to make the decision.

Your choice affects friends, family, everybody...

If we continue doing the wrong choice our world is going to wipe.

You got a chance to make your decisions.

Suzuki is using planes like first class to go to citys and explain to people and hes a person trying to change the world.

  • Suzuki is the epitome of hypocrisy. Just ask him how he got to this speaking engagement or anywhere else for that matter. He flew, took a limousine, etc... I can guarantee he didn't walk or back pack from his sprawling mansions in BC or Ontario. When he travels it's first class, 5 star all the way. His carbon footprint due to his touring dwarfs by a hundred fold what the vast majority of Canadians produce. Anyone who considers a human being no better than a maggot deserves nothing but scorn.

  • Great guy. Too bad he's been sold on man made climate change. I'd have thought he would have done some of his own research. I guess he must have just watched an inconvenient truth.

  • maybe you are the one who is sold???

oh I guess co2 is natutal and poses no problems nor does depleted uranium,

  • hes been in this way longer than al gore D:

  • Yeah, comical isn't he? I'd have been the heckler in the crowd. Someone has to sell us on these new taxes. We'd revolt otherwise.

  • Shut up Folkboat11, you're being retarded.

  • dude lol your so ignorant haahhaa this is possibly the funniest comment i have seen in a while.

  • Have a good think about who is ignorant. Calling down someone who doesn't agree with you is pretty bad.

  • what is the point i dont understand what his whole point is all he talks about is global warminghe doesnt explain why all he does is tell us the obviously like the comercials hang dry your clothes.... it the obvious he is jsut a caqndian version of al Gore

  • He's trying to say we need to die, or pay carbon tax for our carbon footprint

  • David has been trying to make sense of human impact on the natural world for many years in a constructive way - Nature of Things & Who needs Nature?

  • that's cool.. he was just at Princeton.. in New Jersey and I went to see his lecture!

  • I love this guy!
