@JustAnotherPerson520 but how much is the life of a soldier worth? A cheap missile can take out an expensive piece of equipment and 1-10 lives, by that standard, those APS missiles are cheap.

According to the Department of Military spending, the life of a U.S. soldier definetly has a price tag. Find an example: shhoddy bullet proof vests, sub par armoring for humvess, poor assistance for combat vets. I love this country and I appreciate inventions like the Active Kill, but we've got to do better

@Raushaunj well thats the problem, the more technology and armour you put on each soldier, the fewer soldiers you will be able to put on the ground to actually do the fighting. while good against the taliban, such massive costs per soldier could become a hindrance in a conventional war against less equipped but well trained and more numerous enemies.

quantity is a quality all on its own.
