Minister for Agriculture, huh? The last time I checked, about 10MM Kenyans were at risk of starvation due to food shortage. This gentleman cannot handle food supplies and that qualifies him for the presidency. I see why Barack Obama would not have made it if he ran for the presidency in Kenya.

We Kenyans politick too much ... Elections ended in December 2007 and in February 2008 folks has started campaining for 2012 elections ... They would have started campaigning in January 2008 but folks were busy bouting.

Kenyans are clever and industrious people but am 100% sure that poltics is the reason why we stagnate. Why cant folks elect a President and build the Country for four years and start campaigning in year 5 ...

I am not a tribal caveman but the reality in Kenya is that political arithmetic is a function of tribal blocks, a fact that we have to put up with until we establish respect, trust and good moral values amongst different ethnic backgrounds. I long for the day when we will free ourselves from this tribal ideology. Until such point every ethnic group will have their fist tightly clenched. This is a collective action problems a.k.a. "tragedy of the commons"

Tribal aspect of Kenyan politics is overblown,I believe it is statistically false. Consider these:a Kenyan of Indian origin becomes a Mayor of Ksm then an MP,a Kenyan of Somalia origin is a mayor in Migori,a luo is elected councillor in MURANGA! Whites representing Langata and Taveta,Luos and Luhyas representing Nakuru town. Now,Nairobi is even worse,the Gukuyu,Embu and Kirinyaga chose TMJ against Waiyaki and who said that the Mbere were a majority in Kamukunji when Nyaga won in 2002?I etc.
