  • Please tell us, Ms. Hedegaard: are you a true believer in the Green Agenda cult's hot-air "climate change" extortion scam – or are you being blackmailed by Carbon Disclosure Project enforcers? And have you viewed the YouTube video "Is it Live or Is It Livery?"

  • LAIR - good luck in Europe with that BS.

  • We should be very happy that we have such an intelligent climate minister in Denmark who soon will be the EU climate chief as a reward for her excellent work. It is fantastic ignorant so many people around the world can be when we have this very bright woman in Denmark who knows almost everything. Shakespeare had great clarity - this is something very rotten in the State of Denmark - we are good at deceiving the world.

  • More propaganda. Shove it, lady.

  • This is promoting a constructive solution that helps solve both the financial and the climate crisis. It's not about promoting empty politics.

More of this sort of good propaganda, please!

("lady"? Would you say "Shove it, man"? If not, then it sounds as if you are discounting her message because of her being a lady.)

  • Climate crisis, financial crisis, what next will the masses turn their attention to?

  • i don't take to heart the word "crisis" anymore. there have been too many and the word is being thrown around as much as "the war on" (terror, education, drugs, anything that pisses us off). Crisis is being used as a catch phrase.

either way, there are thousands of things that will improve the climate and most of them create significant amount of jobs of various skill levels. The reason most big businesses haven't jumped in is because there's no financial benefit or subsidies for them in N.Amer

  • I don't like empty catch phrases but the two crises are indeed crises; what else would you call them? E.g., "Catastrophe" would imply that we are helpless to fix the problems.

Many big businesses have already jumped in, esp. those with loose money to invest, because green tech returns well... and everyone can save money through efficiency measures. However, most businesses are conservative and take time to change course, and many don't have the loose money needed for new investments.

  • I agree about the general lack of subsidies for renewables in N.Amer, though Obama's package includes some (re)new support. Throwing green tech money at companies is useless but subsidies through loans and feed-in tarrifs are very efficient, as demonstatred by the German surge in solar power, for instance.

  • i didn't say it was the wrong word. What I said was, "I don't take to heart the word 'crisis' anymore".

That means I don't panic or get worried or wonder if I have enough canned goods to last me 10 years, or check my investments when I hear it.

I firmly believe that small/medium businesses (and well-run large companies) will be the ones to bring around the economy.

  • Ah, ok; yeah, I completely agree!

  • communist liars go to hell
