Using your own logic Americana2112, no one should celebrate the death of Gazans, but if 9/11 victims should be mourned so should the people in Gaza who you claim rejoiced when 9/11 happened. Anyway they did not "rejoice" as a people. A few people dancing beamed on US TV does not represent all Palestinians. There are many Americans who may rejoice at Gazan's being killed also. Do they represent the whole population? Think before you tar an entire set of people with the brush of inhumanity.

I agree. Problem is that is exactly what is happening in Gaza and what we marched against. The Gazan people do not dictate Hamas Policy, in the same way that Democracy put Bush in Power in the US but you can't blame all Americans for Bush's policies wars.

im immensely proud to say that i was there yesterday. what an inspiring day! there were 200,000 people who showed up. thats democracy, even if our government wont represent the country's opinion. the news dedicated 30 seconds to the event concentrating on the small amount of violence and playing down the number of people that arrived. no mention of the fact that huge protests have happened worlwide. shame about the trouble, and the outrageous unprovoked police brutality that i witnessed.

leec2872 r u capable of having a civil conversation? in the west bank there have been many killings too in the last year also and just in case you didnt know there's a wall around the west bank too and 40% of the west bank is now in the hands of israeli settlers and they keep on building. you cannot have a normal life when there are checkpoints everywhere and you have to spend 2 or 3 hours a day as a minimum to get through these check points when going to work.

The rockets are Hamas' legitimate resistance to a country that has invaded their land, massacred the people, bulldozed their homes, forced them into a ghetto and then blockaded that ghetto so no supplies or people can go in or out. If the same thing happens to you, your mother, father and siblings killed, you have a right to be pissed off and defend yourself. You have a right to attack the settlements they built on your land, even if it is with relatively harmless Qassam rockets.
