I cannot imagine that anybody could beat Walcha on BWV 582. It is simply impossible. I feel like this is the final destination of all the organ works.

Bachs Music is touching my soul in a way I cannot describe. And when I realized Walcha was blind since he was nineteen I knew a genius celebrates a genius.

Please listen to the interpretation of Karl Richter. I think his way of playing Bach, and in particular the Passacaglia is sheer to divinity.

Höre bitte die Aufnahme von Karl Richter. Seine Interpretation von Bach, und vor allem die Passacaglia, ist nach meiner Meinung die Beste: ob man in Himmel ist.

@feetje2008 He seems to make rhythms really wishy washy for some reason. It could be the quality or just that vid but I think I remember that of other vids. I like this version and especially Hans Andre Stamm's version better for the youtube ones.
