  • I am quite tall (174 cm at age 15), I have blonde hair, light-blue eyes, and I am fascinated by ancient northern cultures. And my knees are perfectly healthy(Skyrim pun.)

Do you think that I have helvetian ancestry?

  • @cilibinarii Helvetians were actually Germanic Gauls... "Helsvolken" became Helvetian in Romanized langues. "Eluveitie" comes from Eluhwein...that translates as Elowen, Elwyn, Elvin in Tolkein. Tall beautiful often blond fair people with fair skin & eyes who have always been as good with music & poetry as with swords & battle axes? yes? sometimes wear wings & ride magic horses & dragon boats. now you know who we are & where we come from. *')

  • Translated:

    Burn – fire of wisdom!

    Blaze – flame of passion!

    Consume – fire of life!

  • Cantlon carâjû-jo :)

  • whats the aidu??

  • correction to the CORRECTER! its FUCKING GAELIC! MMK?

  • @ChrisTheSpazm What is? The language that they're singing? If that's the case, you're wrong. It's Gaulish. Very few speak it, even fewer than those who speak Gaelic or Latin.

  • Depends where you are and how angry you get at the others. In Ireland it's Gay-lick, and in Scotland it's more like Gahlick or Gah-luck

  • no. Literally it is promounced Gay-Lick. Not gah-lick. And that is from Ireland/scotland in parts

  • @darknight15100 As has been pointed out, it's pronounced different depending on the dialect. Scotland is "gah" and Ireland is "gay". I meant the pronunciation, nothing else. >.>

  • Does anybody know what's the meaning of the lyrics? I would want to know what's "aidû"

  • I can play this on my flute :D i like to play with the music :)

  • @AntonAdalsteinson

I just want to lern it! would you send me your tabs? i found some but i'm not sure if they are correct

  • Love this song! love the Tin Whistle in it! I want to lean the song on it!

  • beautifull voice, good instruments :)

  • Really it doesnt get much better than this.

  • La voce dei miei antenati :D

  • Good song for relaxing :)

  • what language is this?

  • It's a celtic dialect..

  • No, It's Gaulish :S

  • @9bassfreak

Lol.. Just for clarification, the word you're thinking of is spelt "Gaelic" in English, and is pronounced "Gah-Lick".

    Undomiels, Tapadh Leibh :)

  • @MrJarofJam

No, eluveitie sing in (sometimes reconstructed) gaulish wich is a celtic language, which was spoken in parts of france and switzerland.

  • @LGivenUpP93

Never said they sung in Gaelic. I was just clarifying for that other guy ;)

  • @MrJarofJam

    okay : )

  • @UndomielsTeardrop *correction - it's Gaulish from historic Helvetia, which is indeed a Celtic language but not a "dialect", just like English isn't a German dialect.

  • @cilibinarii Thanks for your correction :)

  • @cilibinarii @cilibinarii -Helvetians were actually Germanic Gauls... "Helsvolken" became Helvetian in Romanized langues. • @zoodog12345678 Gaulish Language!

  • Concordo. Questa cultura sopravviverà per sempre

  • Que está cultura permaneça após a eternidade.

  • me encanta eluveitie...

  • Burn fire of wisdom! Blaze flame of passion! Consume fire of life!

  • muchas gracias^^

  • @fidodelamuerte Is this the translate!? Thank you!!!! :D So whats the meaning of "Aidû"?! Fire?

  • @DisneyFilm Yes, "aidu" means fire but it is believed that it is the name given to the sacrificial (and sacred) fire. The other kind of fire, regular fire if you will, was called "tenes".

  • @ManelinhoAraujinho Amazing!! I love this language!
