Ween is not a jam band. in fact u cant really put ween into any specific genre. which is partly what makes them so appealing and awesome. Alot of people who are into jam bands(myself included) are because we love music that is made for the love of creating a work of art and putting on a performance. Not to become rich and famous and have 4 mansions and 12 cars.

Ween is not a jam for sure, i dont believe u can really even classify ween in any type of genre. They stand on there own which is alot of what is so appealing. I really enjoy jam bands partly cuz they dont conform to alot of mainstream pop music, which is something ween has been doing wonderfully for 2 decades!!!
