The current version sounds thicker and less transparent then the limited version. Both sound great but the limited has a slight edge for having less compressed tone

I have the regular or standard version myself. The only difference seems to be the boost is footswitchable on the 'limited' version where as it is accessed via a mini-toggle on the standard. They both otherwise sound pretty much identical to my ears. Though my amplifers of choice are nowhere near as transparent as the Dr.Z MAZ! and i am an active humbucker user also so my rig(s) do not really compare well. Nicely done video and great sound quality Gearmanndude (a rarity on the interwebz) Cheers

During minute four GMD has the boost on for the Limited while he is running the standard version thus causing the standard to sound slightly more powerful than the Limited. OOPS...

Wow - just picked up a stnd version. Blew me away. After 30 minutes of knob twisting I removed my old BSIAB and immediately put it up for sale (and I loved that pedal, up until. . . .). Very flexible, warm, full tones. Love it and love the vids GMD. Thx

not much of a difference. The tolerance between component batches is probably the only reason you hear any difference between the two pedals.

I use the Wampler Ecstasy Drive and the very nice Delay pedal which I ordered as soon as it came out :) I have the first edition, bigger orange casing :) I can honestly say that it is safe to have faith in Brian's pedals :)

though not a world of difference, I'd say the current version maybe has a bit more high end on it.. but I liked the limited's crunch, especially at 5:19 with the switch still on the D turned down a bit.

This has an old skool distortion tone. The limited edition sounded thicker on rhythms while the standard on sounded clearer on lead.

@revolu3 WAMPLE Pinnacle more of a "brown sound EVH" pedal sounds more like power tube gain, Plextortion gained JCM800-900 tone, Triple Wreck face melting dist w fuzz. If you do not like Wampler you need a better amp. FYI these pedals are exactly the same (sans slight component knob variance). You pay slightly more to have a foot switch for the boost instead of a toggle. Also, little amps suck. If you have a lunch box for an amp trying investing in some decent wattage and speaker size.
