This is good for a starter in Orks or Space Marines. Buy 2 sets and sell the other army to another starter. Then complement the armies buying other stuff.

Well i got it :D and in just two months ive nearly doubled the army you get in the box (got 2 more tactical squads and 3 more termies :D)

I love this box set, it is a great way to beef up a starter army as well. If you have a firend that is just starting out, both of you buy a box and trade the opposing figures and you have instant starter armies. The figures are made slightly cheaper than the standard 40k minis, but for the price, you cant really complain. My only complaint is that the forces are unbalanced. You get nearly 600pts of Marines and only 450pts of Orks per box. Another 5 Nobz would have made it more balanced.

Even if they are snap-fit, it's an awesome value box set. Especially since it comes with a squad of Terminators AND a Dreadnought.

GW outdid themselves with Battle for Macragge and again with an even better scenario box.

Hi guys, I'm a big noob. But I have a question.

Is the Black Reach set figures the same as the figures you'd buy if you bought them seperately?

I know the terminators don't come with assault cannons or Chainfists, but are they generally the same?

No they arent the same as the ones youd normally buy. These are snap together pieces made of plastic, a lot cheaper then the normal plastic or metal figures.

macragge wasnt bad at all points but it did get u started well(i have macragge and black reach) and i really wish they would have a tau, eldar starter set

i've said the same thing.... but you have to keep in mind that the humans are essentially the "marquee race" as exemplified by space marines.....

I never got Marcragge because it was to expensive I got this though. It's really good. I am now learning to play properly.

i think this is much better than macragge in some points, but i am a space marines fan myself(why dont they have and starter sets with tau or eldar?) and i got that set, my bro uses tyranids and we like um better(mostly) but orks do pwn, ALOT. but i make due and this hobby is fun no matter what ya do with it
