Hey! Have you guys ever noticed how The Dap-Kings' "All Over Again" ("Naturally" album) has almost the same solo as the one in Shuggie's version of this song? Nice "reference" ;)

dont get me wrong, real good. However, what makes shuggies soooooo good is him playin just about everything and the way his melody flows just works better? more over he grooves the drums dead on. its very hard to duplicate anything from that cd tho.

they are almost all original....or rearranged for the show. Dessner's "I Was Young When I left Home" is a Dylan cover.

so is every track from "Dark Was the Night" a cover version? or did some groups write their own songs for it? just looking through the tracklisting, i've only heard of "Feeling Good", which is an amazing cover.

this song is great. very jazzy, especially for an indie band.

I agree! Shuggie was a great songwriter and fantastic guitarist. But Sharon and the Dap Kings bring an authentic old-school soul vibe to this song that's just beautifully elegant in the most funky way. It's quite amazing what they did with this song. Just perfect!
