@richardvollin Elton never did a Bluesology gig in the states.. you're definitely right. Bluesology was long gone before he ever got here in August 1970. I mean.. unless there was some globally unknown reunion of Bluesology in America at one point in time.
Great tune!... I haven't heard this one for decades!! Looking through your catalog of rare rare Elton(Reggie) is impressive! Even the Bluesology gig he did in the the States, thats where he really honed his skills. That period of time was obviously the impressionable years. Hens his name Elton John. I never stop enjoying his music Thanks for sharing these rare songs and video.
First sung by a 15-year-old singer Rowena Cortes from HongKong in 1978,She represented the United States to participate in the World Popular Song Festival 1978(WPSF1978) ,Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote this song for her which help her enter the Grand Final, this song was Never released.
@jolene0201 You are way off base..it does not matter concerning the release.. GIVE credit where it is due. Reg performed it here.... period!!! Most probably before your star was even born.
@spydey550 Yes, but they began in 1967 as hired songwriters for DJM records, and subsequently wrote songs for other artists (among them the British entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969, for Lulu, called "Can't Go On (Living Without You)". However, the first John/Taupin single song performed by Elton himself was "I've been loving you" (that, even if the credit goes to Taupin as well, was written by Elton himself), released in 1968, so his singing career started pretty early, fortunately.
@Summerbirdflying Good info.. Bernie has such a long list of published songs its amazing. You are right John wrote also.. but, he clearly wanted a good lyricist to break through. Its the collaboration of the two that makes the duo so amazing. John, struggling with all the publicity, exploring his sexuality, etc. inspired the whole process of putting his feelings to music. It was Bernie that helped him get there. No doubt. John can write also, but he would tell you that Bernie is the factor.
@1976REDRYDER Lunatic fringe here...... Taupin and John are known as the best collaborating team in recent history.. Bernie would write and Elton would compose and perform, check out "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy".. On the outside it is the first album showing the two personalities. Good stuff,, good luck
Nice one! I love discovering oldie Elton tunes I haven't heard before. He became a much better singer over time, but there's something so sweet and innocent about his younger voice, just makes me smile. Thanks!
Love these!

@spydey550 Exactly what "Bluesology gig he did in the States" are you referring to?
I was not aware that BLUESOLOGY ever played the United States at anytime.
Maybe I'm wrong and clean off the radar here, but...could you please clarify this for me.
