Actually capt.smartass it was a gas leak, there was no back draft. The firefighters didnt know the gas at the back of the restaurant hadnt been turned off, and when the gas was exposed to the little grease fire it caused the explosion. And for your information, most firefighters are sarcastic in joking about their stations equipment, hell, I'm one of them. And playing Xbox or watching tv its just time to sit back and relax. If they were smart enough, they would've seen the signs of a backdraft... but they didn't.  That's why firefighters are just bunch of arrogant and insecure human beings that get praised for being good at playing x-box at their fire station. Just gives you an idea of the kind of force involved in an explosion.. caused a >6G-shock reading on the DriveCam, which is designed to trigger during high G-loading.
