FF7 Dirge of Cerberus: Prologue

@DarkMudkip: The very first cutscene with Vincent and Yuffie in Midgar takes place during the events of Final Fantasy VII; they're evacuating the city for the fall of Meteor, which is the first thing you see in the cutscene. The actual game takes place one year after Advent Children, meaning three years after the original Final Fantasy VII.

Biggest clue is that Cloud actually makes a joke later on, and he isn't moping like in Advent Children.

For those of you who are interested in the actual FFVII timeline here's what you should do. 1. Google "Final Fantasy VII Timeline Wikia" 2. Click on the link that says "Final Fantasy VII/Timeline - The Final Fantasy Wiki has more Final ..." 3. Scroll all the way down to the bottom where it says "[ ν ] – εуλ 0010" and you will see that DoC takes place 1 year after AC and approximately 2 years after FFVII.

ah wait i get it, the first part is after defeating hojo and (technically shinra) the party return to the highwind and cloud tells everyone to go their seperate ways and come back if they wanna save the planet. this mustve been what yuffie and vincent chose to do. they take rufus out of shinra building n evac midgar. i didnt get it at first because i assumed they would all be with cloud and co before meteors arrival.

wo wo wo, wait. what "era" of time was the first 2 and a half minutes? because that was the sister ray, which is in midgar, in advent children it is removed im sure. And plus hojos dead body is still at the helm of the cannon, this game i thought was set about a year or 2 AFTER adevnt children. surely there would be nothing left of his body after that much time....

Yes, AC is two years, and DoC is one year after that, making it three. My confusion came from hearing DoC is three years after the game, but I had misheard and thought after the movie. so sorry, but grr, hating to check how I get new comments here. Might I also add that the prologue takes place during FFVII, during Meteor's summoning. In fact the man being taken on a strecher in the beginning is Rufus Shinra (hence his re-appearance in AC).

If I remember it right Cloud is 16 in Crisis core whitch is the first (?) game in FFVII And in AC he's 23 so it must be about 7 years later. and that makes this about 7 or 8 years after that.
