What I know is : French and French gvnt didn't really welcome the northern african muslim immigrants, putting them in ghetto for years and years, cutting the social ladder for their children, having the worst jobs even with high standard qualifications, etc. Now we pay the price : the younger are more radical about religion and "cultural fantasy identification" than their elders.

The majority of muslim in France won't give any trouble, I'm used to have muslim co-workers and so on. Regarding Dubai, my parents lived there for years, and I've to say it was really refreshing to live in a muslim country without all the cliché of uneducated, intolerant and rude people. I just don't have all the answer.
