  • it's delicious if you squeeze a bit of lemon on it and you can also use pine nuts with the mixture if you like

  • @carolejshaffer yes my family loves it with lemon squeezed on top and yes mixing in pine nuts is great too :)

  • K, one question.. Is the meat being properly cooked when you cook it lyk tht.. Cause My mom is always saying its uncooked even though i luv it tha way it is! ( lol u should see her face when me n my dad eat kubi! Lol well shes frm india n my dads from saudi..) so yeah...

  • @ThoughtfulThoughts7 yes, with my recipe, the meat is fully cooked all the way, nothing to worry about :)

  • omg i tried this a week ago and they were awesome!

i has so much dough and meat i figured i may as well make like 2 dozens...and they freeze well once fully baked. bil hana wil sheefa.

  • @20hadia sahtain! I am so happy that you liked them :)

  • Thanks for the recipe, the dough is good, the meat tastes good too, but my meat shrunk a lot. Where did I go wrong?

  • @AlAhzab36 all the meat shrinks, you can fold them over to make them look more appealing. Meat always shrinks when you cook it b/c moisture is released, you did nothing wrong, it's just how meat cooks. Just try pushing the meat out as far as possible when you are spreading it on the dough :)

  • @yvettemcfarlane that's wonderful Yvette, don't forget to check out my site for the written recipes :)

  • I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear that we have this in Turkey too.

  • in Palestine, we call this " sfeeha"

  • In Lebanon, sfeeha is the square meet pies :)

  • cool...its nice to know the lingo. I'm not a know-it-all on Pali, or for that matter Arab cuisine and such, I've never seen a square (unless custom done) meat pie (and by "meat pie" strictly referring to "lahme bi ajeen")...what is the difference between the two?

  • there really is no difference in the recipe, just the shape. You can also add ground jalapeno to the meat mix and that tastes great too :)

  • oh, and btw, hello from falasteen!

  • your husband must be lucky to have you...lol

  • hi. dedemed your recipes r very succesfull.we called it lahmacun in turkey.but it doesnt have a meaning.

what is lahme bi ajeen mean in arabic?

THank you for your support, don't forget to check out my site!

  • Damn.... this girl is my dream: Arabian and good at cook!!!! I wonder if sicilians get along with arabs though... probably yes, becaus we're half arbaic too...

  • You can also use the frozen dough if you don't want to make your own dough.

  • correct!

    HAPPY COOKING!

  • some great recipes! your videos are great and realy usefull! thanks i had a question though, when i was in egypt, i had a dish in a lebanese restaurant: it was spinach topped with walnuts and fried onions... just wondering if you know the name of this and how to make it? thanks

  • Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much your cooking reminds me o my life back at saudi arabia

    your amazing

  • Great video, we add "tamarind" or "tamrhindi" to the meat, for a tangy flavor.

  • yum great recipe! thanks for it

  • Cool, good to know :)

  • Yes that is true, pomogrante syrup is great if you mix a tablespoon of it with the meat mixture. I will be selling the pomegrante syrup on my website soon :)

  • whats in your 7 spice mix?

  • oh my dear

I love this, we call it "areyes"

    The taste is AMAZING!

    Thank you so much bibi!

I think the Arabs invented food. Arabic food has the best taste. Arabs are also the best cooks, no one can match them. Will be going home soon, can't wait to be with family and friends and enjoy the food ... mmmmmm

    Thanks again!

  • looks great..its also called lafmajun in armenian.
