I SCARED THE SH*T OUT OF ME WITH THAT ANIMAL AT THE END OF THE VIDEO... i was distracted with the high volume and he appeared suddenly with a sound from beyond the grave...
at certain speed bump of metronome my wrist starts getting rigid (hence slowing down)... it's either that or pick starts going everywhere because i don't have enough pressure on it... :(
@reaching4happiness Dont force it. You can get serious joint problems off that. (not the drugs kinda joint xD) Practice really slow if you have to, the moment you are not FULLY relaxed in your wrist/elbow and flex your muscles whilst playing, it is not practice anymore but pure frustrations. Even when I play fast metal I try to be as relaxed as possible with my arm.
This helps very much. You are a very good teacher Justin and I hope you are doing well. I really appreciating you putting these up on youtube they help get the music out! :-D Every time I watch one of your videos I hear the guys in Flight of the Concords. ;)
play that funky music whiteboy, funkin loud lay down and play down and play that funky music till you die.spunky funky monkey im gona look like a crab (just kiddin) .i can do it in a more broken manner but ilike the technitic or how ever its spelled idont juess you can have it all.keerp the funky side up.

Also I think it applies equally to 8th note bars as well as 16ths - as long as you are using heaps of mute strums its funky!
mallamoozoo 2 years ago
i guess you need a rock hard plectrum or its gonna wear out fast strumming like this all night. Hard on strings too
