It appears that hes got "blackie" tuned to G (GCFA#DG) for this song. I play it in Standard E the only difference is it's like capo-ing at the 3rd fret. Not sure why he did that my guess is he wanted to hit some higher octaves.

@Roymeister0 Eric's guitar seems to be tuned down to D,G etc., since the song is in D minor, and he plays the main riff as low as possible.

@Roymeister0 It´s quite obvious his guitar is tuned one step down, so he can easily play the D-riff on open strings, you can see power chords through the song according to this tune.

Saw him last night in Pitt with the regular old band. They were Wailin' on twin Hammond B3's! Same stage as this, his hair is gray and longer, like in the TV commercial. Awesome old-school show. -WoW (shrek on drums - that's hilarious!)

They didn't play enough Clapton songs when I saw them. But he did kick ass on Forever Man.clapton is one of the few artist from the 60s that had really good songs in the 80s and 90s.
