@MatteoG What you need is to buy a XCM 1080p Mega Cool VGA box and it converts component into vga which then goes into your monitor via a double sidded vga wire :) there you go, its what i use and im playing in 1080i, so pritty much HD !

When you render, make sure you render P.A. ration as 1.000 square and not 1.1212. It will make it full screen and you wont have the black on the top and bottom
