Wow, There's a lot of idiots here. There are no Fighting games with a half decent story. The story is the least important aspect of a fighting game. Also, Liking a game, because its made by the namco studio that produced Soul Calibur is absolutely ridiculous. Virtua Fighter is all game, and very little silly bells and whistles. The Customization aspect is done tastefully instead of being overplayed like SC3.The Quest mode is innovative, and is simply more entertaining that some silly force mode

@NadesicoFan I think Urban Reign is better than Force mode (Tekken spin off beat em up). Well much better than the Nina Williams game Death by Degrees.

Though I will say Virtua Quest (Virtua Fighter action RPG spin off) sucked.

Woulda rather have that game where you coulda played as the VF characters instead of some creepy anime kids

Other spin offs which are good: Guilty Gear Judgment, Samurai Showdown RPG, Dead or Alive Paradise (PSP), Super Puzzle Fighter, Pocket Fighter.

I think VF6 (when it eventually gets made) will get some limited release in arcades, a terrible console port, and that will be that for the series. VF5's stateside release was shamefully bad. PS3 no online, the netcode for the 360 is horrendous, and the game has next-to-no training mode outside of the horrendous dojo.

Blazblue makes this game look like a stripped down port of a port with all the content and awesomeness packed inside the box at release. Get with the program Sega, it's 2009.

I think the A.I. is very good, challenging and intelligent the only bad thing is that there is no personality so It's hard to exploit your foes, saying that, all fighting games are like that and you can solve the problem by playing against a friend. Experienced gamers know the controls are nowhere near as good or as intuitive as the Street fighter and Tekken series.

I like Virtua Fighter because the game play can be as deep as you want it to be, Tekken has got far better controls but also a very simple game mechanic too, more simple than street fighter in my opinion.

Virtua Fighter will always have a place in my heart for creating the 3D Fighter sub-genre. But, Virtua Fighter 5 blew it. PS3 version sucks due to no online play, 360 sucks due to Xbox Live multiplayer and shitty controls. Tekken 6 definitely got the upper hand on this one.

i say tekken 6 and virtua fighter 5 in frame rare and visual qulity are evenly matched and but i think controls in virtua fighter are better ill tell you why i think this way you have punch,kick and guard complex,deep and but yet layed out simple for gamers their very responsive and easy to pull off i really cant see a flaw in this game if there is its not effecting me from enjoying it
