im confused bout tama drum kits. i typed into youtube 'tama superstar' and it came up with superstar accel-drive and hyperdrive kits. is there such thing as just a 'superstar'? i ask because i may be buying a tama superstar but i dont know if it is accel-drive, hyperdrive, fusion or what. please help...

@Mirozenx I've got a tama imperialstar, and I love it. It's great value for money, great sound for a low price. I don't know about the other kits. Find some reviews with google. Good luck, and whatever you get, give it a good listen to in the store, if you can!

I was thinking of buying the same exact drum kit before I watched this vid for a really good price, but I wasn't sure if it sounded nice or not. Now because of this awesome vid, I now know that this drum set doesn't sound too bad (even when it's not perfectly tuned). Thanks, I liked the vid!

@mynameiskenny01 The Tama Superstar is a nice drumkit and it sounds professional. The Tama Superstar looks similiar to the classic Tama Rockstar drumset. Right now I have a 5 piece Tama Rockstar drumset. I bought the Tama Rockstar in early 2010 and it is still in good shape. But I am also thinking about buying a Superstar drumkit as a second hand tool!! But this new Tama Superstar sounds great.

@tranman978 yes the are way too tight. you have to realise that tuning your drums heads too tight will stretch the skins beyond what they should be stretched and after time the can also wreck the hoops. yes, everyone has their own sounds and tune it to what THEY like, which is perfectly fine :) but these are way too tight, the heads (believe it or not) are already warn out... how do i know this? cause i am aus' best up and coming drummer for 2011 and have had the same happen to me :)

How are the Ebony Ambassador as resonant heads?

I'm planning to buy them because my drum heads sound horrible for some reason.

@theapplefreakk They're quite good, they'll take a lot of careful tuning to get the resonance you're looking for, but when you get them there they sing wonderfully.

@xxbss4lifexx It sounds quite amazing, for the price you cant go wrong. I can get so much tone out of the toms once i tuned them. I definately recommend it :)
