The fuse works awesome its easy and cheap. I used Spectracide Stump Remover from Lowes for around 7 dollars. made this fuse with in minutes

Do you really need to put the KNO3 soaked coffee filter back on the pan? Can't you just dry it in the sun? Cause putting paper fuse on a hot pan is something I'd like to live without lol...

@pyr0ph1L I have done this many times, and I have never had any fires... but to answer your question... KNO3 absorbs water from the air, so it would be very hard to dry it without the pan... you would have to use a powerful desiccant in a sealed bag.... but the pan method is much better, and is fairly safe (safer than some actual food cooking recipies... eg. cherries flambae)

@anotheraccount420 I wouldnt use news paper because of the ink, and printer paper is fairly expensive... using the coffee filers is the best because of how absorbent and cheap they are

i had about 50% water to 50% kno3 by volume, it was not dissolving so i eated it in a microwave, after drying on a old oil radiator, i lit it and it was burning so vilontly about 25% better then this

this only works with KNO3 because KNO3(potassium) is oxidizing and strontium is not
