  • Sure thing.....Bome's Midi Translator. Works in the background and once loaded, minimize it. then run your Serato Itch software and Wa-La....Hope this works for everyone...

  • @MrLowdog5 Thanks for sharing.

    DJs Make it Happen.

  • @imixmag, Totally understand, but I mis-mentioned that it wasn't actually unstable, it was my midi-mapping unfimiliary with the software that caused me problems. And YES! I'm really pleased with Serato for incorporating the SP-6 Trigger function....Makes things a lot smoother.....Thank you and have a great Day!

  • @MrLowdog5 Glad to hear it is working out for you. Care to share what midi program you are using to get Itch and the Akai LPD8 to work together? Thanks.

  • @imixmag, Actually I did get it to work, I had to use another midi-software to map the keyboard strokes to the tap buttons on the LPD-8, Then minimize that window and run Serato Itch and Wa-LA.....it worked....but was very unstable....But ask and you shall receive....Serato just came out with 2.1 that has a SP-1 Trigger function added that makes life a lot easier...Thank you for your info.....

  • @MrLowdog5 Thanks for sharing. Glad you found a program however when something isn't unstable we don't offer it as a solution. That's why we didn't mention it to you.

Testing out Serato Itch 2.1 with the NS6. A video review is soon to follow. Hopefully it will address many of the problems, especially the problems with the effects.

  • I have the Akai LPD8 and trying to map Serato Itch 2.0 SP-6 samplests to it....Can you give me the HOW-TO on doing this?.....PLEASE!!!! Thank you!

  • @MrLowdog5 You can't use the AKAI LPD8 with Serato Itch. Unlike Serato Scratch Live, Serato Itch does not allow you to use just any midi controller. They have specific midi controllers which can be used. They are listed in their website.

  • Thanks for your fast reply. except controlling effects, cues, loop , does the x1 can control the sp6 sample player? I mean without having the Akai lpd8.

  • @laostyle01 Yes, you can assign them to control the SP6. Problem is you're going to run out of knobs or buttons. However you can decide what is most important to you and chose which features to assign the the available buttons and knobs.

  • @imixmag aye i got a question bro can the mixdeck do what what the traktor x1 can do and withch program is better traktor scratch duo or serato?

  • @laostyle01 wow that damn akai is sick man i just watched a few vids on it 40 dollars is cheap for its fx performance

  • helpful video.

Im lookin for a midi controller that can control effects and sample player.

    can you advise me please.

    thank you in advance

    Im usin SL3

  • @laostyle01 You can use the Kontrol X1 to do this. Decide which midi functions are important to you and assign them to the available buttons and knobs. You can use larger midi controllers, like those from Akai, however if it's to be used for mobile gigs size may be a consideration.

  • Can you use the x1 to sample?

  • @NevaSayNoToPanda It is a only a midi controller. It only triggers the samples within Scratch Live or Traktor.
