  • I am a current C-130 pilot and my last mission of my most recent deployment was to bring a young man out of Iraq on the first leg of his journey home. it was a very poignant reminder of what we do out here. Its a honor i have had only a few times before, yet is a very somber honor indeed.

Sappers hit the firebase last night. God, it was dark. Thank God I wasn't HERE. My bunker was blown away by an RPG. Looked at the wreckage and knew, I KNEW I would have died there... but I didn't. 33 other GIs DID die last night. I need to load body bags onto a helicopter... & later load some more. Never thought much about what happened to them after that... I guess they had their own Angel Flight & made their way home. I haven't forgotten you, guys Godspeed!

  • Bonnie What a message this song brings. My husband wasn't in the service, but he has cancer. This song really has alot of meaning to me. And thanks to all the troops that are fighting for our freedom. God bless you all!

  • This is such a moving video. We do have friends and friends family in the military and they are heroes! They signed up and wanted to go wherever to serve their country! Thanks to all song writers and singers who appreciate their service and want to show them just how much you do care!

  • Don't know why I haven't heard THIS song before, what a message it brings...

even to this Old Guy..Vietnam Vet '67-'68.

Thanks to all our Vets, wish more people appreciate what THEY do..

  • @Lik2race

    Stan,

Many thanks to you for your service to my beloved country. And thanks to your family for their sacrifices as well. Behind every serviceman and servicewoman is a family who worries and struggles. The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

    Numbers 6:24 - 26

  • Great song ! Received from a fellow 'Nam veteran and have shared it with others...

    brings back memories.

  • GREAT JOB GUYS. I flew as a flight medic with DUSTOFF Unarmed Aero-Medical Evacualtion in the Huey helicopter in VietNam.I pray that all of our military personnel come home real soon. Tis song is great and has so much meaning that I can directly relate to. Thank you so much for such a great song. Chet Roi Crump

  • @dustoff11m Thanks Jolly Green Man.

  • My Father was a Veteran of WW II. He was a Naval Pilot who flew SBD Dauntless and F6F Hellcats from the deck of VC-12, The USS Hornet. Flight was in his blood even before he joined the Navy. The first two lines of "Angel Flight" could have come from the lips of my Dad. The song you have written and recorded is a meaningful and thought provoking piece. There is really no other song out there that addresses the transport of our fallen heroes home. I bet your soulful tune will have no equal, ever.
