Not bad for a first episode. Yeah, I understand the problem with the music, but I know things will get better as this show goes along. Other than, not much else to say except good luck with the next one.
(Continued from last comment) Even Siskel & Ebert planned before the cameras rolled. That said, I did find the discussion interesting and I look forward to more episodes. But, watch an episode of Siskel & Ebert for some inspiration. There's nothing wrong with taking from the best, as long as you still make it your own. :-)
@ThatFellowCoat I watch Siskel and Ebert all the time. We got the idea from them about talking about a film, but this show is essentially about how we feel personally after just seeing the film. We adlib everything because we want to talk about points that naturally come to us. We attempted to remove the music but the video would not save, but next time, there will be no music.
Good episode, I enjoyed watching it. Since this is a first episode and you're obviously still trying to sort out the bugs, I have a bit of suggestions:
- Lose the music. I kind of get why it's there, but I found it to be rather distracting, especially since I'm trying to hear your discussion.
- Maybe take a cue from Siskel & Ebert here by also cutting in clips in between the discussion. Also, maybe take notes beforehand on what aspects you decide to talk about from story to acting to technicals.
Good vid but maybe lose the music and perhaps do a film that isn't your typical Sci-Fi :D
