I dont know if you can simply prosecute a group of people who are soley responsible, because it appears if you disect the crisis up to this point you will be pointed to government, companies, & the people (you and I!!!) for the source of our current dilemma and the accumulation of these problems over such a long period of time (30, 40, 45 years!). What we are seeing is a system wide problem.
How come the government can force the labor unions and auto companies to renegotiate their labor agreements but not the banks? The answer doesn't address that at all. The real issue here is that our government deliberately didn't make canceling the bonuses a prerequisite for getting bailed out because they are on the payroll too. That's where their campaign money is coming from.
Our real enemies aren't the greedy executives but the scum that sell out their constituents time and time again.
