Used to round the track on my tracky pushbike...The bend was very very steep..

i was in the second and last race the team name was spectrum wich i formed with my old mate ken who was capytain scarlet iwas captain black racing the green and yellow ford anglia here and thats me in the orange top in the centre green any body got any more vids or film or photos cheers

Now as I approach 50 I look back at this footage with such fond memories. My dad & I were avid fans . Kirkby {just a few miles from home at Old Roan, Aintree}, one week then New Brighton the next Sunday . Alternate weekends. Strange thing is I met a lass from over the water I now live within walking distance of where Tower Grounds once stood. Would you believe at the bottom of Molyneux Drive there's a housing estate where the track once stood. I walk my dog up there sometimes if I close my eyes

Excellent vid mate, me dad used to race here and this is the first footage i have ever seen of the track, only a couple of photos owned. well found/ restored/ converted got any more.

There's a big metal shelter type thing on the right hand side of the screen from time to time in this film. I recall my dad taking me to this event in an effort for some father/son bonding and we stood under this shelter ... I was bored stiff for most of the day !

its rubbish music, but it was what came with it when converted to video. i think it more original than mouldy old dough or rinkydink!
